We had a blast on the trip- but not because of the hotel! Staff didnt care about pleasing the guests at all - I actually had to stop my boyfriend from yelling at them. No management in sight-ever. Bathrooms are barely big enough for one person, shower is poorly designed, tile is dirty. Loud parties all night long - this... More

I stayed at the Catalina during the 4th of July weekend and I was very excited about staying there. From the pics that I've seen on-line, it seemed to be a very clean, sheek, posh hotel. My expectations where quickly shattered once I got there. I had a room on the first floor. The carpet was stained, I had to... More

We stayed at the Catalina last week. The quality of the rooms is fine and the location really fab. The rooftop poll was also really great. Drinks were really overpriced at the hotel bars, I paid $11 for 2 bottles of water at the rooftop bar. And if you want a coffee, take a walk around the corner to the... More

There is not a single positive thing I can say about this hotel. I had booked a double bed room and upon arrival at the Catalina, suddenly was told i had to pay and extra $200 for the extra bed. They said that Bookit.com does not guarantee two beds and that normally they would let this "slide" but because of... More

This hotel was disgusting! First of they told me there was certain times the free shuttle is availbale which is 8, 9, then every two hours! I arrived at 10:15 in Miami international & waited for the 11:00, like I was told the shuttle would be at Terminal G, never came to pick us up, I had spoken to Ebeth... More

We went to the catalina back in november 2008 but we've only just calmed down enough to bear writing about it. We really wouldn't recommend this hotel. The location is good, but that's about it. The rooms appear to be quite well designed on web pictures, but in reality, although acceptably clean, are poorly finished. Our room in the Dorset... More

Despite all the negative reviews I decided to stay at the Catalina Hotel. Both Catalina and Maxine Hotel look pretty in the pictures but when you actually get to those two hotels that are next two each other you find yourself disappointed to say the least. Every negative review I read is true: You find a very young, trashy and... More

My friend and I stayed there for just a few nights for a mini-vaca right after memorial day weekend. When we got there our check in was in a different hotel (but part of the hotel group) and had to take our own bags to our rooms located next door. I wish we were told at time of booking what... More

My boyfriend and I come down to Miami often. Our stay at the Catalina this past weekend tops the list. We got a room with 1 king bed in the Dorset, which is the building that houses Kung Fu sushi. They were able to accommodate our very early check in (11 am) with no additional fee or fuss. The check... More
