I live in the area but on occasion I like to take a weekend night out to head to the beach for sun, fun and great food. When I do so, I prefer to stay at modern boutique hotels and thought this weekend I'd give Hotel Astor a try. I was given a room on the third floor, which was... More

Arrived to check in & they told us we had to wait until check In time & I was not happy because I had things to do, so they got a room & gave me a room key. The elevator wasn't working so I had to drag my suitcases up the stairs which was not cool. The room was okay,... More

The reviews below cover all the basics well. Would just add that staff were friendly and provided good info on local restaurants etc A 15 min walk North up to Lincoln Road will get you to shops and dining places. Be aware that most places don't open until 11:00 or so Cut a couple of blocks down to Ocean Dr... More

Went to Miami for a girls weekend trip & stayed in this beautiful hotel. Very chic old school. I can just go on & on about how big, clean, and peaceful (yes...even in South beach;-) but what stood out the most was the exceptional service that was provided especially by Christopher Valdez & Nathan. I've never been treated with such... More

Hotel is ok, but needs some renovation. Also, the elevator didn't work (which seems like an old problem based on other reviews), and this highly affects the "art deco" experience, as the stairs are not very nice.. Breakfast (scrambled eggs) was really, really bad. Location and staff were great. Would not recommend for families. Maybe a good choice for couples... More

This is my second time at the Astor Hotel and I love it there especially the staff. They are young, professional and very friendly. Special thanks to Alena (you're the best!), Burak and Alex. The place is not super modern (old building) but everything is super clean. 5 minute walk to the beach and great location. I would recommend it... More

This is one of the antique jewels of South Beach. Having traveled over 45 countries, I think it's important to note extraordinary service. From my first interaction with Chris Valdez to the final check out with Burak, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The chef's smile delivered with a cup of coffee was almost as good as the first... More

We stayed here for 1 night and the staff could not have been more accommodating. From recommending restaurants, finding addresses for us, calling a cab and calling our tour company, they could not do enough for us. The hotel itself is very clean and the beds are really comfortable and complimentary toiletries and filter coffee making facilities, however some areas... More

My wife and I stayed here for a weekend and initially thought we may have picked a wrong place due to not being across from the beach. However, this initial feeling was quickly displaced when we walked to the beach and it only took a few minutes (two blocks away). What was even better with this central location was it... More

Great location in the Art Deco district about a 5 minute walk to the beach. Hotel was cheap, had all the Art Deco features which was lovely, but the hotel needs some tlc. Our room was a little dirty, chair cover should have been white it was yellow. However we were travelling on a tight budget and this hotel was... More
