My wife and I usually stay at 5 star resorts and/or a hotel that is very highly rated on Tripadvisor. I have never been called unreasonable but this hotel surprised in a very negative way and as a result I cannot recommend it to anyone wishing to stay at a resort in this class. We traveled to the Setai for... more

Having always stayed at 5 star hotels, I didn;t think twice about booking at the Setai. What a huge mistake! This hotel is so overrated it's ludicrous. I should have learned my lesson when my husband and I pulled up in our Bentley, and the valet ask my husband if he would be "staying with the car" as if he... more

I travel a lot and have stayed at a range of hotels around the world, from five-star to budget. This is one of the WORST experiences I have ever had at a luxury hotel. We paid $1400/night for a one-bedroom suite - definitely five-star rates. What we received was barely one star service. We had lunch in their restaurant during... more

I have been to Miami many times, on my last trip I stayed here at the Setai and now I can not stay anywhere else! This place has it all! I could not find anything wrong with the hotel so I will review all it has to offer, & what I enjoyed- We actually rented an apartment at the this... more

In my opinion the Setai is just the best of the best! There is no other place like it in Miami Beach. A place of total harmony and great service. We like it so much that we have decided to buy an apartment there! By the way: We rent it out with huge discounts. Please contact me if you need... more

This was our second stay at The Setai. Both times at the art deco building. Although I prefer the layout of rooms overlooking Collins Ave, the room we took this time overlooks the courtyard was spacious and clean. All hotel staff members were very nice and always ready to serve. We noticed certain very minor issues (cracked cup of tea;... more

My first thought was, 'wow'. The hotel was stunning and very elegant, but not overly showy. My room was huge and well appointed; the shower and water closet were both separate - but I was not crazy about the rainfall showerhead (just a personal preference). The in-room cappucino maker was a fantastic touch as were the dozens of light switches.... more

During our 2008 winter break we splurged with one night at The Setai after having tried The Chedi in Muscat, Oman, a couple of years earlier. Wonderful design, very large standard bedrooms (at least twice the ordinary size), exceptional dining topped with one of the most elegant and calming pool areas we have visited. The service level and attention to... more

I only have one word for this hotel - AMAZING! The contemprary asian set up of this hotel is like a calm oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Miami South Beach... It is 10 blocks from the centre of the 'Strip' and about 4 blocks from Lincoln Avenue, which is where there are lots of restaurants.... more
