My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend in mind April. Checking in we experience great service, even got an upgrade to a bigger room at no charge! The room was very nice, clean, spacious, nicely decorated, although we didn't have a balcony and only partial view to the ocean, which was fine. We definitely enjoyed our stay... More

Stayed here for 4 nights, very pricey but position is great. Rooms are on smallish side. Bathrooms have a sliding door that does not close fully- always stays ajar. The biggest downfall for this hotel has to be the very thin walls - you can literally hear everything in the adjoining room. Including the very noisy shower, the television and... More

We spent 3 nights at the Royal Palm in late March/early April. Had great time on the beach. I was a bit hesitant about booking because of the mixed reviews but decided to give it a try. Check in was quick but rooms were not ready. Not a problem since we wanted to walk around a have lunch. We had... More

My husband and I stayed here for the final night of our Florida trip. Having spent a lovely 2 weeks in Fort Lauderdale we thought we would splash out and see what Miami had to offer. There was not enough staff to deal with the queue at check in, even though there were only five couples queuing we waited half... More

I stayed at the Royal Palm twice. Once, when it was part of the James, and the second a few weeks after it was transferred over to Starwood. There isn't a lot you can do wrong with a place like that, particularly if you're lucky enough to get a two-bedroom suite with the fantastic living room view over the water.... More

We were at this hotel 2 years ago...I don't know if ownership changed (as the name changed slightly) or if they just let things slip. Not what it used to be. Very disappointed, specially with the service.

I stayed with my mother here for 3 nights and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is unbeatable - right on the ocean, on Collins and just a 2 min walk from Ocean Drive. What really made my stay wonderful was the attitude of the staff - I had requested a room with 2 beds. I was told that... More

Just got back from staying 3 nights at this hotel. We were on the 6th floor room 645 with a ocean view room. It was a great view !!! I had read where some reviews said walls were thin. We did not have this problem at all. We had a corner unit so maybe that helped. Doors were very heavy... More

I stayed at the hotel right after their switch to SPG in March 2015, for ten days with my wive and our son (18 months). As it was billed as new and SPG category 6 we had quite high expectations, which were not met even when taking into account that there surely are certain challenges when ownership of a property... Now that Starwood has taken over the Royal Palm they really need to kick the hospitality training into high gear. Right from check-in, the interactions with hotel staff ranged from slightly off-putting to full on enraging. It was as if their goal was to make each step of any process as cumbersome, illogical, and irritating for the guest as humanly... More
