Our feet got black from the dirt in the carpet and tile floors. Thankfully the hotel is closing 4/15/04. Too bad they didn't tell us before we checked in last month or we would never have gone. Stinky, dirty and overpriced. Staff said the hotel wasn't spending"another dime...not even for a pencil". Our sofa bed had no springs and was... more

Unfortunately I didn't read the previous review until after my trip was booked. I'd have to say that appraisal of the hotel's amenities is accurate. The stove and TV both had pushbutton controls, although the TV did have a remote (which didn't work our first night there). The freezer in our refrigerator didn't freeze, and the help thoughtfully left a... more

This property is also known as the "Beekman Hotel" and is in dire need of remodelling. The kitchen cupboards, appliances and yellow wallcoverings look like you stepped into a time-machine and landed back in the 1950's. I thought I was in an episode of "I Love Lucy!"The elevators are miniscule and the semi-permanent residents who stay there (staff?) kept me... more
