We booked a room at the Clay because we liked the look of the hotel, but when we checked in, they took us to a completely dffierent building a couple blocks away. The room was small, dirty, and overlooked an alley. We called about getting a room in the "main" building (i.e. the hotel we had booked), and they said... More

While it was great fun to be in the heart of all the action, the accommodation itself was rather dismal. The bathroom hadn't been renovated I guess in 50 years. Deplorable. Gross. The toilet is so high up your legs dangle and your back hurts. Don't look at the shower floor, I thought perhaps a rodent would come through the... More

We stayed two days at this hotel. Our room was in a different building from where you check in, no problem. It was safe because you can only open building gate if you swipe your room key. Pack light, you have stairs.... Breakfast is very simple but no complaints, the room is small but you can eat there or take... More

Espanola way is a very nice street for restaurants with different kitchens. This classic hotel in the heart of the Art Deco district has been here for many years. The room are clean but at the from desk we miss the service and happiness we used to in USA. They do what they have to do if you ask. When... More

My wife and I stayed at the Clay for three nights and were so pleased with everything. South Beach is expensive and the Clay is among the least expensive, especially when you consider the incidentals. Most hotels in the area charge up to $35 per night for parking, the Clay charges $18 and it is valley parking. You can come... More

I doubt that there is a better hotel value in MB so close to the prime restaurant area and two blocks from Lincoln Road pedestrian shopping mall (another street with a lot of great restaurants). My room was in a building one block from the lobby, second floor (no elevator). Although the hotel is in a very safe area of... More

We came from Colombia and loved it!. Service was outstanding. The beds were very comfortable. The location is perfect because you can walk around and enjoy music and a variety of foods. Rooms are very clean and all the staff was very kind. Thank you Hotel Clay for letting us have a wonderful experience! A&C Zk

We stayed here 2 nights before making a trip to the Carribean. The location is OK, you can easly walk to the beach, shops, restaurants. Be warned that this is a noisy street, the bars and restaurants are opend late and from early on there are garbage trucks, deliveries...We did know this in advance so it did'n bother us too... More

Loved that my sister and I had our own rooms since she snores. The location was great. loved Espanole way and all the restaurants were great along the way The only thing was that our room was on Espanole way directly across from an Italian restaurant that was playing loud music till almost 2 a.m every morning. Was really hard... More
