So charming! This was my first time traveling to Miami and South Beach. The hotel is located right on Espanola Way with so many cute and tasty restaurants around it. Walking distance to South Beach, shopping, and bars and clubs. The rooms were small but had everything you needed - fridge, microwave, coffee machine, clean beds, clean bathroom, etc. We... More

The rooms and breakfast are very basic, but given its location (on Espanola Way, couple of blocks to Ocean Drive and the beach and 4/5 blocks to Lincoln Avenue) and price this was what I was expecting. A bigger bed would have been nice though.

Our time in the hotel was very limited as we arrived late, spent a lot of time out during the day, and left early, but it was a reasonable, affordable option in a good location. The hotel itself is nicely decorated in a more traditional style, although the rooms are basic. There was quite a lot of noise from the... More

Spent a few days in Miami before visiting Costa Rica and needed a place which was value for money but also in a central location. The Clay Hotel was the perfect solution. Easy access to Miami beach and all the places on Washington Av, but comes with a bonus of being on Espanola Way which has an AMAZING atmosphere and... More

Charming and reasonably priced hotel in a perfect location. We stayed in the main building. The room was small and very dated but that just added to the charm. Down the hall was a very large shared living area to relax, read and have a glass of wine. Directly outside is Espanola Way, a pedestrian street with many restaurants. It... More

Thank you GGM5 for taking the time to share your experience. We are so lucky to have guests who appreciate the historic value of our hotel like yourself. We continue to make improvements but not take away from the history. With a location just minutes away from the beach , our team thought why not assist our guests in getting... More

No parking so valet takes your car away to park - the room was a couple of blocks away and overall not too bad considering the price - right in the centre of the action Nice friendly staff - the breakfast included was different as we were sent down the street to another building and given a pre packed breakfast... Stayed here for three nights with my boyfriend. Good value for the money considering location, friendly staff and clean room. The room was nice and clean, but a bit small. Had a small fridge, TV, free wifi and AC (and ceiling fan). Breakfast was included but not impressive - what they give you is a plastic take-away box with a... More

From Miami airport, you can take the 150 bus to South Beach & the Clay Hotel is just a couple of blocks from 13th street stop. We stayed just the one night. Check in was very easy and we didn't take up the offer of taking our luggage but wish we had when then told our room was on the... More

We booked a room at the Clay because we liked the look of the hotel, but when we checked in, they took us to a completely dffierent building a couple blocks away. The room was small, dirty, and overlooked an alley. We called about getting a room in the "main" building (i.e. the hotel we had booked), and they said... More

While it was great fun to be in the heart of all the action, the accommodation itself was rather dismal. The bathroom hadn't been renovated I guess in 50 years. Deplorable. Gross. The toilet is so high up your legs dangle and your back hurts. Don't look at the shower floor, I thought perhaps a rodent would come through the... More
