If anyone wants to stay at the Golden Sands Hotel, I recommend that you don't. The staff was rude. I was actually yelled at by housekeeping for taking too long to leave my room for service. i had the time of my life... very friendly staf and pretty clean rooms... just seconds from the beach and the clubs, a little noise coming from the street at night but other than that i had fun.. i think its real affordable and worth it!!! more

I didn't mind that we had to pay to park, but the ramp up or down was very narrow and in my opinion dangerous. The rooms were not what we expected. We brought our Lysol and gave the room and bathroom a thorough cleaning to avoid getting sick. The walls were paper thin and you could hear all activity going... more

While I booked it through priceline it was not a bacd price, but that is where it turned even worse. First the Pro's. Place was Clean. The bed wwas alright, good enough for a nights sleep. That's it. The Con's- The bar is small and they don't offer any draft beer. They Have a Happy Hour for $.99 draft beers.... more

This hotel was not worth saving money! If I knew it was going to be so horrible, I would have been more than willing to spend a couple hundred dollars more! Avoid this place at all costs. Older hotel with paper thin walls. Didn't sleep a wink. Shower was a joke. Management did nothing when I complained about the noise. Checked out immediately the next day. Spent twice the orignal amount ($80) at the next hotel (Marriot Courtyard) and it was worth every penny. Do not stay at the Golden Sands!!! more

My hostest, violeta was very friendly and helpful. I was surprised at the size of the room, having paid twice as much the night before with only a quarter of the space. The room was so dirty that cannot be described. Terrible noise from strret. They refused to honor my printed reservation (made a month in advance). The hotel is located in a bad area. The receptionist (Caesar)? was very rude and aggrevating. Moved out first thing in the morning into a nice hotel (Hampton) that cost only 20% more. more
