This is a larger and fully renovated period 1940s property in the quieter northern area of Collins Avenue in Miami Beach, far enough away from the boozed up and noisy 20 and 30 somethings in Ocean Drive to make it agreeable but not too far away if you want to be part of the action ( or just watch it... I don't think it's possible to have picked a better hotel for my best friend's bachelorette party. Everything about it was perfect! The location is ideal, the hotel is beautiful, and the staff is among some of the friendliest and helpful I've met. They really try to go above and beyond. The most notable were Brad who brought us champagne... More

Everyone was very nice! great for insight on the location. Wine at 5 was a nice touch but at night the right hand side of the hotel was very noisy! The noise was not from people but doors banging and constant drilling and road works. Not the fault of the hotel but they didn't do anything about it when we... More

The excellence started the moment we pulled into valet. The gentleman that was there greeted us with a smile took our vehicle quickly an escorted us inside. There, we were met by the smiling face attendant named Naja. She quickly took our information, handle us two glasses of champagne and told us to come back and meet her at five... More

I recently Traveled To Miami with a group of friends for my best friends bachelorette party. We recently stayed at one of the best hotels anywhere. From the way the we were greeted before walking into the hotel to every staff member the whole stay. A special thanks to 3 people that really made our trip, Rai, David and Kenneth.... More

I had the pleasure of first staying at this hotel in September of 2013 during a business trip. After 1 day there I knew I was home!! From the location to the room, the pool and best of all the friendly staff. I fully recommend this location when considering staying in South Beach!

There's nothing special about this hotel besides it being right on the beach(but then again there are MANY hotels around there that are on the beach as well). Came for the end of fashion week and felt like we walked into a club. Staff was friendly but not 100% on point. The room was small as hell and overlooked the... More

Johan H, Thank you for feedback. I am sorry to hear that you were dissapointed in your South Beach experience. Just to clarify, we do not charge you to use the beach, but we charge a resort fee which includes 2 beach chairs and other on property amenitites. We wish you the best. Regards, Nick More

We hadn't stayed at the Surfcomber for quite a few years, and when we did stay, we thought it needed a refurbishing. It got that with the Kimpton makeover. The Surfcomber has a very nice pool area, and is a short walk from the beach. You get beach chairs free with the 'resort fee', but need to pay for an... More

I just visited this hotel this year and I was not impressed, the room was so small and it had a view of a wall which they call a courtyard. The bathroom was even smaller with half a shower glass, what a joke! You go to the beach and you hold your beach chairs by the pool thinking that when... More

875thetruth55, We are sorry to hear you were not impressed. Our rooms are actually above average for the art deco historic hotels which make up Miami Beach hotels. You are aboslutely right about the chairs by the pool, we like to give all of our guests the best possible seating by the pool. We don't let people reserve off the prime... More

This hotel is in a great location a stone's throw from Lincoln Rd. The lobby was very nicely done and although I didn't eat at the restaurant it seemed pretty busy. The pool and beach area are very acceptable, the beach attendants were especially jovial and friendly, the bell men were very helpful, I have no complaints about the staff... More
