Yet even with the often outrageous quirks each room is appointed with many state-of-the-art high-tech options. Flat screen TV, Mini Fridge, A/C’s along with the Electronic Personal Safes. The bathroom fixtures are pristine and precise and the Pelican shower, for instance, with the strong, steady stream pulsing from the broad shower heads, gives the effect of standing under a loving spring rain. The essential attention to even the smallest detail. That’s what sets the Pelican Hotel Miami Beach apart from the rest. A perfect venue for those seeking a true Art Deco experience.

This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
The Pelican Hotel captivates with its unique and thematic decor that, according to guests, perfectly blends comfort and style. Nestled in the heart of the Art Deco district, its location is just a stone's throw from the beach, earning it high marks from many travelers. While opinions on value are mixed due to varying fees, the hotel's amenities, including beach services, are frequently lauded for their quality. High standards of cleanliness are consistently noted, and while the rooms' aesthetics are a hit, some guests find them a bit snug. Service is generally seen as friendly and professional, albeit with some variability in responsiveness.

Fantastic two night stay after a cruise. The guy who checked us in was amazing, and so helpful. We got into our room a bit earlier, and room was beautiful. Big comfy bed, white fluffy towels, and decorated very tastefully. Supplied beach towels, and loungers on beach too. Had brunch, which was excellent, as were the pizzas, too. Loved the free drinks at social hour…Gins were huge. Also stored our luggage as we had a late flight home. Highly recommend.

Eclectic hotel: all the rooms have different themes. South Beach is across the street from the hotel, and you get 2 towels and beach chairs with your room. Staff is very friendly, especially Raoul at the front desk during the day. Food was excellent: ahi tuna and tagliatelle for dinner, eggs Benedict and salmon-avocado toast for brunch.

Stayed for three nights with my wife during our 20th anniversary trip. Great rooms, great meals, great service, and great location! Lots of clubs all around, and the beach was also close by for daytime chilling. Could have easily spent a few more nights, but had to continue our trip to the Keys.

This hotel was funky and cute. The decorations were good quality and fun! The food at the resturant was delicious. I loved how the action of the beach was right outside but I couldn’t hear it through the walls. I was able to sleep like a baby. They have two front desk guys that were so pleasant, Chris and Raul. They really made the experience wonderful! It was a perfect location and I can’t wait to visit again.

Charming little boutique hotel across from the beach in the Art Deco section of South Beach. Each room is different, but small, with Art Deco decor. Excellent food in the cafe. Especially loved the breakfast. Wide selections. By far the best oatmeal I've ever had. Front desk staff were all super nice and very helpful.

Horrible experience! After long flight from London, check in was a disaster with no record on our booking. Waited for 30 minutes without communication to be told we would go to a different room to the one booked without any apology. Room was only partially cleaned and dirty with used linen, etc. Changed to the correct room the following night but totally inadequate, No beach view and dark. Uncomfortable chairs. Functional at best. No coffee. Miserable. Housekeeper still there in late afternoon. Bulb not working. Bath cream not replaced. Etc. Booked a taxi for us but was charged double the going rate as a SUV arrived. Scam? But biggest issue is we were told three times that due to their mistakes at checking we would receive one night refund. On chasing this on our returned were told they had changed their mind so no refund. Do not stay at this hotel for the many reasons above.

Response from Reservation Office, Guest Services / Front Office at Pelican Hotel
Responded Dec 22, 2023
Hello DJKB2023, Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback about your experience. I would like to start by sincerely apologizing to you in regard to this matter. We strive to make each stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible, and we will use your comments to coach our team in order to provide a better experience in the future. Due to the reservation being booked by a third party agency as non-refundable, we were unable to issue the refund for the first night. Our team did provide a fabulous complimentary dinner and drinks for two upon your arrival, due to the room category not being available. We were happy to move you to the correct room the next day without hesitation. While we are saddened that you had a poor stay, we take all of our reviews very seriously and use them in our continuous attempts to improve our guests' experiences. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts. In the near future, we sincerely hope that you will allow us the chance to serve you even better. - Pelican Hotel Management

We enjoyed part of our honeymoon at this hotel located right on the Ocean Drive. And it has been a wonderful experience. Very nice rooms, stylish, every room have its own theme and have all the amenities you need. Plus you’ll have 2 drink from a selection every day between 4 and 6 pm, and two towels and lounges at the beach. The service provided by the staff, in particular by Wendell, was top notch. He took care of us every day, he was really kind and professional. We ate at the restaurant (bruschette, cacio & pepe, meatballs) and, as Italians, we were really satisfied!

Just had breakfast at The Pelican Hotel in Miami and it was lovely. We shared a continental breakfast - a variety of croissants, toast and yogurt with fresh fruit. Good price and very friendly staff, would recommend.
