I stayed here for two nights after returning from a cruise. The pros: I got a good rate through a third-party website, the staff was wonderful, it's right on Ocean and it's a 2 minute walk to the beach. The cons: The hallways (other than the lobby) and dark and dank, my entire floor reeked of some weird smell (like... More

The Park Central is a historic hotel and has a location that can't be beat. Our room was comfortable and accommodating although a bit tired looking. Overall the hotel could use some refurbishing but the price is excellent especially for the location. The beach was directly across the street. We also enjoyed a delicious breakfast on the outdoor patio. All... More

We were unfortunate to stay here just before it shut down for renovation. Reception staff were warm and friendly, but the hotel is run down and a big mess. As we entered our room after a rickety elevator ride we were welcomed by a damp cigarette stinking carpet.. Room was ok.. Bathroom was clean. No one answered the room service/... More

This hotel is a beauty on the outside with probably a lot of history, but in the inside is just sad...Really old rooms, with small windows, extremely uncomfortable bed, and thin walls; If someone flush the toilet, you gonna hear about it, if someone decide to take a shower in the middle of the night...damn sure you will notice it.... My bf and I stayed at the Park Central during the first week of March. We honestly loved. It's not the Ritz Carlton, but I loved the fact that it was older because it felt very historic. The rooms had this comfortable feel to them like you were home. There are pictures through the halls of south beach in the... More

I have been staying at this hotel regularly for the past 30 years......but not in the last 5-10 years..... It is OK -- but dated-- great location on Ocean Drive across from the beach and something very unusual in this area of Ocean Drive -- a swimming pool. It is great for a plunge after getting all salty in the... More

This hotel is in a great location. The check in was very easy. Even though we were given keys to the room that was already occupied they fixed the problem very fast. The rooms and decor are somewhat outdated but it didn't bother us. Beach was visible from our room. There is good stores and shopping within walking distance. Bed... More

An average hotel, which when we arrived , was told that it was going to a renovation. The location is the selling part of this hotel, close to everything and the beach. The website mentioned beds on the beach reserved, however when asked was told that this was not the case. Rooms are furnished to the Art deco era, with... More

I got what I expected for under $200/night in this great location== Fantastic spot across from the beach, reasonably comfortable room, helpful staff, free wifi, small pool, rooftop deck. if you dont mind these cons:no bar, dowdy hallways, windows that don't open, no fridge, spotty cable service and NO coffeemakers in room then it is a fine hotel if you... I loved the historical and classic art deco ambience of the Park Central--which is located in the heart of South Beach. The beach is across the street as well as Lummus Park. The staff were professional, friendly and helpful. I had an ocean view room on the 4th floor and it was quiet...no street noise. The room was furnished with... More
