Stayed at hotel with a group of friends. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Unfortunately, this did not make up for the condition of the hotel. We had a room that was updated, I believe. It had an additional room with a fullsize bed which worked out well for our group. The room was a "smoking" room, which would... More

Dear LIVINGLIFE, Thank you for your comments. As I read your lines, I can see how we could have done things much better. As you mention, we have renovated many of our rooms, but that does not make up for what you encountered. We do have one smoking floor, and your windows should have opened, at least halfway (for safety)... More

Picked this hotel because it was on the beach and from description sounded like it was in a good spot to be able to walk to a lot of shops and restaurants. We were taking a cruise and only staying 2 nights and didnt want to spend $3-$400 a night. Reviews were kinda scary but it was one of the... More

Dear HIESSMIESTER, Thank you for taking the time to comment about your stay. I have a good feeling many of the guests that stay with us get the same impression as you as to our staff, room product and location, but only a few decide to write about it. We enjoy a privileged location in South Beach, but what sets... More

I'm not a hotel complainer, and was super excited to stay in Miami Beach. The location of the hotel was great and when I arrived and saw the setting outside, I thought "great hotel choice!" But then I reached my room .... yikes. Not horrible, but definitely a 2-2.5. The best part of the room was the bathroom which was... More

Dear DRINKSAND SMILES, First of all, thank you for taking the time to write a review. As I read your comments, I see several opportunities where we could have handled your situation and overall stay much better. Although we are in Florida and we enjoy a tropical climate, this climate is also followed by insects. Now we understand that an... More

DON'T EVER EAT HERE besides the service being terrible (no ice available) I developed a type of food poisoning that turns your face bright red. (scrombroid fish poisoning) this was due to the restaurant serving me spoiled fish. They ruined my bachelorette party. If they could receive a negative score i would chose that rating. Dear MARISA S, First of all, I would like to apologize for the fact that your bachelorette party did not go as planned. I understand you may have had a reaction from the fish we served, but the allegation of food poisoning is not correct, as this would have been the case of many others that evening, yet in a... More

My fiance and I stayed at the Marseilles Hotel for 4 days in January and were really pleased! We had actually booked the San Juan across the street but I decided to make a very last minute change to the Marseilles after looking at some gorgeous pictures and reading some good reviews. So glad! The location of this hotel cannot... More

Dear KITTEN11694, First of all, thank you for taking the time to write a review on your last visit to Miami Beach. Working in South Beach it is mighty hard not to fall in love with the Art Deco charm South Beach and its hotels are known for, as is just as hard to understand people that do not, as... More

Stayed 4 nights. YIKES!!first little disclaimer: not a complainer... especially in beautiful south beach where the hotel or room shouldn't be a big deal because you should be outside enjoying everything MIA has to offer. That being said, the following is sort of an FYI. First impression was HORRIBLY filthy carpet once we stepped off onto the 5th floor, which... More

We stayed here just one night as part of a package. The reception staff were friendly. The room was OK, but not very large for 4, and relatively clean, but several of the lights did not work and there was no water at all in the small kitchenette. The swimming pool that evening was busy with some sort of party... More

Dear LIKETOTRAVEL01, First of all, thank you for taking the time to write a comment about your stay. We paid $200 a night for a beachfront hotel with a pool. The hotel was having a party in the pool area, they charged non hotel guests a cover charge and played dance music (no words just beats) so loud that you couldnt talk to the person next to you. There was a sandy area behind the pool with a... More

I have stayed twice at the Marseilles within the past 18 months. Both stays were entirely satisfactory. The location is ideal for guests who want to enjoy easy beach access, a pleasant pool, and proximity to Lincoln Road amenities. I have also stayed at other South Beach hotels, including the nearby Richmond, which I would also recommend. Personally, I'd rather... More

Dear GMURPHYJCAP, Thank you for your comments. We would like to let all of tripadvisor.com's readers that sometimes we have really great specials and some of our guests really get a great deal, nevertheless, we are by no means a budget hotel per se. We are an oceanfront property and one of the closest hotels to Lincoln Rd. Mall and... More

Found a good deal through Travelocity for this place, good price compared to many others along the beach. If you don't mind walking through clouds of pot smoke in the hallway and a party packed pool this is the place for you. This place is a little old, with terrible parking options. It has 8 floors, we stayed on the... More
