I was a bit surprised to see all those negative reviews from everybody! I did not think this place was all that bad for the price. We arrived in Miami early one morning having flown in from Peru. We did not have any reservations and started calling hotels from the airport. (By the way there is no information, or hotel... more

I work as a Travel Agent and trip advisor does show the truth about some hotels. I stayed in the South Beach Plaza in September and i can truthfully say that this is the worst hotel i have stayed in during my time of travelling. I can safetly say whilst travelling around the world i have stayed in better hostels... more

The cons: we got ripped off on the wi-fi and there was no tech-support. The attitude of the front desk and restaurant hostess is that of disinterest, almost elitist. We ate at the restaurant on-site which was in a beautiful setting with fountains and lush palms; the tiki bar was small but was a fun addition to the atmosphere. The... more

We had booked just one night through AMEX for this hotel. There is something very wrong about how they advertise this hotel on the web...the true address of the hotel is 1401 Collins, but I see the web page for the hotel says 1411 Collins...the pics for the Bar are accurate, but very narrowly framed to make it attractive. When... more

The photos on the website must be from another hotel. The hotel was the worst I have stayed in. The reception area was very dark with a disgusting smell. The rooms were supposedly refurbished. They had no curtains, plug connections that did not work, the sink was so far in the wall that you bumped your head on the mirror... more

I have just returned from this hell hole and I would never go back. We arrived on one of the sunniest day of the year and walked into a black hole. The reception area put me off and the smell was overpowering. Rooms were half finished and we had a light which was on all the time as the switch... more

As noted elsewhere, the photos of the lobby are somewhat accurate, but the rooms are a real problem. I'm 24 hours into what was to be an 11-day stay here. The rate is good: $114/night during the week (then $219/night for the same rathole starting tomorrow night). Location is good. But problems abound. The toilet was disgustingly dirty. The bed... more

Had a pleasant stay , rooms spacious and comfortable, and staff friendly and helpful, just around the corner is south beach itself and ocean drive, there are plenty of places for breakfast and we recomend Finnegans Irish Bar on Ocean Drive, about 1 minutes walk from Villas. Would stay again next time we go to Miami. more

To be honest with you, my girlfriend and I did not enjoy our stay at the South Beach Plaza Villas very much. The pictures and descriptions on the internet were not indicative of what the property and rooms really look like. The hotel front deck, lobby, and bar all looked nice, but the middle area where the fountains are and... more

Our stay was BAD! We reserved for 4 nights but preferred to pay penalty and stay just 1 night. The accommodation wasn’t luxurious like they told: The king room was very small; a 10 sqft bath is too much small; air conditioning direct to the bed is unusable at night; there was’nt any cupboard or glove compartement for clothes; the... more
