I have never seen anything as awful as this place it was dirty, smelly and a sore site to see not fit for a dead dog. We traveled to Miami from Charleston SC arriving at about 9pm tired and ready to check in to our room which we booked online. There were holes in the wall spiders in the shower the... More

The hotel is awful! When you see it from outside, it is an old pink building resembling a jail. The glass on front door is broken. The reception TRIES to look very nice. We booked the rooms online, but they charged the whole stay immediately, is it the normal way the hotels should operate? The elevator is sooooo slow! And... More

Do not stay here under any circumstance. If you are this hard up for cheap lodging you should drive to a better area and just sleep in your car. No kidding. I am absolutely AMAZED that this place is still in business and not shut down by the health or police department. When you enter your room(if you make it... More

The woman at the counter refused to look in the computer to find our reservation, so we waited about an hour for her coworker to come downstairs. He was absolutely obnoxious about him not having our reservation and rude about it on top of that. There are vagrants stationed in the front of the building, and completely unprofessional or courteous... More

Not nearly cheap ENOUGH for how dirty and gross it is. If I had any other choice I would DEFINITELY stay somewhere else. I knew it would be bad, but I underestimated HOW bad. I would absolutely suggest that you stay away.

for a broke college student!... This place was amazing. The price was perfect. We paid for 5 nights and got 2 free!.. It did seem a little sketchy at first, but then we discovered that the location was great and the people weren't that bad. The hotel is secured at night. They close the lobby doors at 11pm and you... My boyfriend and I went on a shopping spree and this hotel did the trick. It's downtown close to the Bayside centre and the baskekball arena. Transportation to get around to 20th street, dolphin mall, mall of america and the airport is very acessible by bus which you can get across the street by the college. The staff are very friendly... The review of 09 February 2009 by "gvilleguy" is spot on. There are no frills. But I was able to book in advance via a secure payment. This place is as basic as it gets but the front-desk staff are ok and helpful enough, esp. the girl of Chinese origin. Room 210 is next to a generator or such like... More

This is a low budget hotel near downtown Miami (not near Miami Beach). I will try to attach some pictures of the room. I certainly cannot recommend this hotel, although for single guys or maybe groups of people who don't have much money, this place is better than sleeping in the gutter. I certainly would not recommend this for couples... More

I stay at the Miami Sun occassionally usually for a a couple of weeks at a time and I'm very satisfied. Nobody bothers me, the staff are friendly, and the rooms are comfortable. The other posters must have been hard to please because I have never seen or heard any of the things they describe. The hotel is downtown and... More
