Overall the Mandarin is great for business travel. The rooms, service and staff are excellent. However, it is not on the beach but in the city. The beach they have is man made and does not have access to any water. Cab fare to the beach is $30 each way. The pool is very small and overlooks the bay and... More

Just got back from a 2 night stay at the Mandarin. Very pleased with our experience. The hotel during the day doesn't seem like much as far as decor goes but at night it's transformed, due to great lighting, into a very chic hotel. The staff is extremely helpful & friendly--maybe not as top notch as the Four Seasons which... More

I have stayed at lots of hotels and this is the nicest one I've ever stayed at. Simply fabulous!! I attended a corporate event/meeting held at the hotel. The room was beautiful with a view of the city and water. I ordered room service for breakfast and it was really excellent. All the food at the event was excellent also.... More

Lovely hotel with great staff. It is slightly out of the way from the hub of down town miami but i prefrred that. Ocean drive was about a 15min taxi away. We stayed 3 nights on two separate occaisions on a 15 night holiday to miami and the Turks and Caicos. Two nights prior to travelling to Amanayra in the... More

My Husband & I went down to Miami for a 3 night stay at the Mandarin Oriental as part of a trip to Southern Florida. I had this expectation before going that this hotel was going to be a little too "Stuffy" for me... a little too uppity... I was happily mistaken! This was a very upscale hotel, very sleek,... More

Stayed at the Mandarin Oriental for a conference. The hotel was great but pricey (luckily it was on the company's dime!). PROS: Bedding was CLEAN and comfortable Room was designed well (bathroom and lighting overall were standouts) Hallways were a bit dark but cool Live music in the lobby CLEAN everywhere Jogging path around the hotel island Beautiful pool area... I had a beautiful experience with Mandarin Oriental. Beautiful room and views. Staff a bit obnoxious, helpful though. We used the private beach which is not really a beach, it 's just a stripe of land with sand, so do not expect to dip into the sea. However that was nice too. Nice balconies. We also used the hotel's gymnasium.... More

Have travelled to Miami several times in the past and just stayed at this hotel for the first time on a business trip. I thought that the service was above-average for a Miami hotel. From the reservation process to the arrival, the check-in and check-out, felt as if I had been treated well. Another positive (and negative) is the location.... More

I am typing this review as I lay in bed at the Mandarin (literally, I'm in the room!). We checked in yesterday at 2:30pm and only had to wait 3 hours for our room to be cleaned. That's right; we couldn't get into our room until after 5:00PM!! Then, they called to ask if we had received our luggage (shouldn't... More

This was an awesome property years ago, but it appears the Mandarin Oriental chain is not investing to maintain its standing as the best hotel in Miami. It is hard to understand that there is no wi-fi access in the rooms, that TVs are not flat screen. The rooms look worn out. Very friendly staff. Would go again for business... More
