We chose the Mandarin Oriental for its reputation as one of the best hotels in Miami. We were, however, sadly dissapointed. The hotel did not live up to expectations. Whilst the service and food was good. The pool is tiny with only a few sun beds, there is no beach (unlike the pictures on the website which are incredibly misleading,... More

Spent three (3) nights at this hotel. Valet is flawless, as entrance is relatively small, so eye contact is easy. As one would expect, the lobby and common areas are Caribbean mixed with Asian flair. Very clean, crisp colors and sight lines—very relaxing. Check-in is sort of a scavenger hunt (to the left), but not ridiculously so. Rooms are the... More

That was our first stay in Mandarin Oriental Hotel. We stayed for 10 days and during that time everything was great. The rooms are very comfortable and very well equipped ( LCD, Hi-Fi...). The room were cleaned twice a day so they ware very clean. Bathroom was clean so everything was as it should be. The stuff is very friendly... More

If you want to be pampered, it's worth it. The facilities were great! the pool, beach, Spa/Gym restaurants. We enjoyed it all. But dont' expect it to be cheap. We had a nice dinner w/drinks at it was about $160 for two. a small pot of coffee in the room as $12.00 before tip. But the service, rooms, view. overall... More

I stayed at the Mandarin Oriental Miami in April 2008 during a business trip. Here are a few points I would like to share WHAT I LOVED - the atmosphere: refined luxury and impeccable style - the room and the bathroom - immaculate - lots of individual lights allow for different moods - the gym: good cardio equipment, some weights... I love Mandarin Oriental because of the great service and i got a wonderful welcome from the staff when i arrived as throughout the whole stay. The room is spacious, has an "open" bathroom that is always not ideal but works for most of us. Housekeeping was excellent and i truly felt that my room was cleaned in every detail.... More

We had stayed at Mandarin hotels before so we knew we were in for a treat, but Mandarin Miami was even better than I had expected. To begin with, we received a complimentary upgrade upon arrival - a crazy upgrade to a beautiful suite overlooking the Bay. Room was great - we had a minor problem with a few ants... More

1) Checking in, we found some dirty underwear from the previous customer in the closet. 2) Ten minutes later girlfriend freaked out : she spotted some suspect stains on the one of the pillows. 3) The plumbery ( water and shower taps) usually remains in one's hands. 4)The reception will not ask permission to "retain" any amount they decide to... I love this hotel. I have been traveling a lot and I can say how magnificent this property is. I could probably criticized a few things but these are common to any hotel I have visited. The service is exceptional, specially from the doormen named Roberto and Jose. What a guys! These kind of employees should be managers at least,... More
