Like so many others, we weren't planning to spend the night in Miami, but American had weather issues. I was tired and frazzled by the time we got to the hotel, and we were at the end of a line of other folks who'd taken the same shuttle. The greeter met us with, "Welcome! Don't stand in line to check... More

American Airlines lodged us at the Element Hotel after they totally messed up our flights. The shuttle to the airport took a while and we waited outside of MIA for a long time before we finally called the hotel. If I recall I correctly, I believe I was told that the shuttle leaves every half-hour on the hour. We finally... More

i can see this is not the first review relating to the living hell that is american airlines customer service however i feel the need to stress what a relief this hotel gave in such dire straits. i currently have a broken shoulder and spent 5 hours sitting on the runway because, to quote the air stewardess "a fat guy... Hotel is very contemporary. Clean, helpful and very pleasant staff. The room was more like a suite and was again spotlessly clean, well equipped and bed was really comfortable. Pool area really nice. great little gym and fitness room. Always had a supply of fresh fruit (free to those using the gym) and water machines. Not a huge range of... More

My wife and I were set for our honeymoon to Saint Lucia when American Airlines overbooked our connecting flight in Miami. We needed a place to stay the night while we waited to get on the next flight the following day. We were obviously disappointed and upset. American put us up at the element where the front desk was sympathetic... More

This was very convenient for a quick layover night in Miami. It's part of the Westin chain (Starwood hotels) so there is some of that service-oriented ethos designed for efficiency. The check-in was very quick, and most things are self-service (ATM, business centre, breakfast buffet). Wifi was very reliable, and I liked the room -- I was upgraded to a... More

After getting into MIA about midnight, it was nice to find Element so close to the airport and rental parking. It is a fairly new hotel, so clean, comfortable, and modern--essentially a small studio loft. The bed and linens were comparable to what you'd expect at the Westin. There were plenty of electrical outlets, for once. The free breakfast was... More

strange - no bar or restaurant (at least when we were there). otherwise, terrific place to stay at reasonable prices, the funky decor made it interesting and eclectic. clean, simple and tasteful. recommended for airport overnights.

The hotel itself looks good, is clean and is just 5 mins from the airport. Staff at the reception were really friendly and helpful. But do not eat at their restaurant; we got served burgers with mouldy bread.I was lucky enough I wanted to add mayo on my sandwich and spotted the green mouldy spots inside the bun..Also, the breakfast...
