We just spent the month of February 2006 at Driftwood, and it was like coming home. We were made to feel so welcome, the accomodation was perfect for us, and we look forward to 2007. We found our rental house, clean with more than plenty towels, and toileteries. Very comfortable beds, and just a spacious, and restful atmosphere. All the... more

The Driftwood Inn was the second stop for my husband and me on our tour of the Gulf Coast. We have stayed at the Driftwood on other occasions. We found this visit to be just as enjoyable as any other. David, the front desk clerk was very accommodating. This was the first time we have stayed in one of the... more

The Mexico Beach area has beautiful beaches and the rear of the inn which is surrounded by beautiful plants, swings gazebos, playground etc. is right on the beach. This beach area has absolutely fantastic shells located all over a large beach between the inn and the gulf. The interior of the inn is quaint and bohemian. Several nude paintings are... more

I have to say that I stayed at the Driftwood Inn and fell in love with it. This was my second time and they have done a lot of improvements and really kept up the place. The man at the front desk is so friendly and helpful and the scenery was GORGEOUS! Anyone who complains about this place, does not... more

This place helped to create some of the most meaningful memories of my life. My wife (girlfriend at the time) and I crossed into a new level of romance when we stayed at the Driftwood. When you walk through the Driftwood to the beach side, it's like passing through a porthole to paridise. Beautiful trees, plants, and flowers all around... more

I had the opportunity to stay at the Driftwood in June 2005. I found the accommodations to be very pleasing and the staff very helpful. I liked the Driftwood so much that it was a factor that I considered when I relocated to Mexico Beach from New Orleans. Gwen D. New Mexico Beach Resident more

I have been to the Driftwood Inn 3 times and the 3rd time was my final straw. I felt as though I had given them the benefit of the doubt. I love the gardens, the quaitness of the place and the antiques are fine as long as they are sturdy and do not smell musty. I could even tolerate the... more

our first and only visit was enjoyable only because the place was not crowded. owners were aloof, not friendly when encountered and didnt seem to care if we ever came back (we didnt). we'll stay elsewhere this year. more

I've read the negative reviews, and the positive reviews, and I guess it's different strokes for different folks. My wife and are somewhat adventuresome, and have stayed in similar accomodation in Europe and the UK, as well as the Carolinas and most of the eastern States, and believe me, the Driftwood Inn is at par if not better than those... more

Yes my wife and I fell in love with the driftwood 35 yrs ago. Then it was only a single story motel but had knotty pine for the walls. The door on the beach side opened onto the most beautiful white sand beach which had very few people roaming around. We were pleasentlysuprised when we returned 8 yrs ago at... more
