We stayed in unit 1, an efficiency unit facing the beach. Nice boardwalk/socializing space in front / beach side of the units. It is an older building. Ground floor units have tiny shower stalls. Upstairs units have larger bathrooms with full tub/showers. Not updated, rather was furnished with antiques. Comfortable room, lots of grounds.

The good--it's right on the beach. A few steps, and you have sand on your feet while listening to and feeling the waves surfing onto the shore. The bad--a piece of driftwood would have been more comfortable than the couch. While it hides a bed, the stains (seriously, this couch could have easily been picked up from the side of... More

Have stayed here about 4 different times. Always enjoy it. It is not cookie cutter and that is one of the great things about it. It is run by people not a corporation. The beach is great and pets can come for a small fee. Mexico Beach is not Panama City Beach and that is why we come here (no... More

Nice and quiet with comfortable rooms. My wife is handicapped and we were able to borrow a Beach Wheelchair at one of the realtors in town (I wish I could remember). Ask at the desk, they may know where.

Reminded me of my childhood trips to Florida. It may be showing its age but so are we. It's called patina. There are so few of these places left. This place is all about the beach. Can't beat the view or ease of access. Out the back door and you're on the sand. Clear, calm water with a very private... More

Okay people, if you want a circus type place to stay, go up to Panama City!! People complain about the most stupid things. Yes, this Inn is in a different time zone where relaxing is just the thing to do. The rooms are clean and the furniture is antique. You are on the ocean front with million dollar views any... More

There were 3 couples in our group and each couple had a room. We all enjoyed our stay and enjoyed the time with owner and staff. They were all great. Rooms were very nice and clean. Beach was GREAT. Staff recommended the Internet Cafe and it was very good also. This was the third year for one of the couples... More

OK, so it's not the Ritz Carlton, but Driftwood is interesting. The Staff (including the very large and noisy bird) leaves a bit to be desired. I got the distinct impression that most of the guests are returning and "know the ropes". I traveled with my daughter and this was our first stay. Later, her comment was like it felt... More

My family and I have stayed here several times and never had a problem. Beds could be better but good things made up for it, until my very LAST stay few weeks ago. Money in room became missing. (walked off with someones help)Yes, we should have been more careful. But, manager could care less and very rude about it. My... More
