💟Love, love, love Driftwood Inn! Beautiful grounds, easy beach access & cozy place to stay! Welcoming staff that introduced us to Woody the great dane & the beautiful bird my husband took up with automatically! Just booked our 2nd stay and I'm very excited! We don't care anything about all the hype of Panama city Beach except to visit for... More

A short version of my review if you have no patience to read my rant about this place. Imagine visiting your granny who is old, grumpy and hears you badly. Plus she is resentful that you visit too seldom. And she does not like you because she suspects that you never go to church. You have some cousins living there,... More

This was my 2nd stay here and it was lovely. Still not a 5 (or even 2) star place, but the quiet simplicity more than makes up for it. The perfect place for a weekend or a month. Great location which is their saving grace. I do agree with the assessment of staff indifference, though, we did get lucky enough... More

NW FL Locals on the way home decided to check out the Driftwood Inn.....it's an older "Mom & Pop" type of Inn. We check out 2 rooms and one of the cottages across the street from the beach & the main Inn. I really loved unit #3 which had an awesome view of the beach but it was only available... More

I just spent one night here. If your main priority is proximity to the beach then this is a great option. They have rooms at the main hotel building and also Cottages with 2 down and 2 up arrangements. The area between the hotel and the beach has been landscaped in an attractive manner and the ocean is only steps... More

The smoke alarm in our room began blaring at 10:30 p.m. We pressed the reset button but began beeping every 5 minutes. Icalled the office and after 6 attempts, someone answered. She told us that the battery needed changing and someone from maintenance would change it the next morning at 8 a.m. I asked what we should do until then,... More

We stayed in unit 1, an efficiency unit facing the beach. Nice boardwalk/socializing space in front / beach side of the units. It is an older building. Ground floor units have tiny shower stalls. Upstairs units have larger bathrooms with full tub/showers. Not updated, rather was furnished with antiques. Comfortable room, lots of grounds.

The good--it's right on the beach. A few steps, and you have sand on your feet while listening to and feeling the waves surfing onto the shore. The bad--a piece of driftwood would have been more comfortable than the couch. While it hides a bed, the stains (seriously, this couch could have easily been picked up from the side of... More

Have stayed here about 4 different times. Always enjoy it. It is not cookie cutter and that is one of the great things about it. It is run by people not a corporation. The beach is great and pets can come for a small fee. Mexico Beach is not Panama City Beach and that is why we come here (no... More

Nice and quiet with comfortable rooms. My wife is handicapped and we were able to borrow a Beach Wheelchair at one of the realtors in town (I wish I could remember). Ask at the desk, they may know where.
