We found this little gem a few years ago. After checking out the other places to stay. I was bound to just sleep on the beach because the other hotels gave me the heebee geebee's. We stayed in the main part of the building. Yes, the bathroom was small. But, The room had everything we needed and it was clean.... More

The Governor's Inn is a fleabag and other only other hotel option in Mexico Beach is The Driftwood Inn. Don't be taken in by the pictures, though. It's 40 years old and needs paint and deep cleaning. They are using old photos, people. The bathroom was so small, the door hit the toilet. There was a Murphy bed with a... More

We stayed in the main building in room 10. It was perfect! We loved the antique furniture. The bed was a king and it was comfortable and beautiful. The kitchenette was just right for cooking our breakfast every morning. I had been reading reviews for months prior to our stay. The main concerns were the upkeep and the lack of... More

I recently stayed 2 nights in the cottages at the Driftwood Inn in Mexico Beach, FL. It is now clear why they do not include photos of the rooms on their website or any details. The check-in experience was frustrating. Even though there were 4 women at the desk, no one wanted to assist us. We were given no information... More

Quiet, quaint, quirky! If you are looking for a relaxing beach vacation on Florda's Panhandle--I highly recommend the Driftwood Inn. Plenty of space in the room, clean, big bathroom, kitchenette, antiques and funky art, and beach access. Loved it!

Stayed at one of the Victorian houses with some friends and we had nothing but problems. From day one, the wifi didn't work, and they said they would send someone out to fix it. On top of that, we realized that the fridge was broken, so all of the food we had was going to spoil. As a solution they... More

Let me first admit that Mexico Beach is not my favorite beach. We attended a beach wedding at the Driftwood, so we were required to stay there. It is very old, but clean. The staff was not the friendliest I've ever come across. They got annoyed easily. They have gardens that probably used to be well kept but they are... More

Relaxing, quiet place to enjoy Mexico Beach. The gardens are lovely, the birds will delight you, and the beach is at your doorstep. Don't expect anything fancy, and you will enjoy your stay. The kitchen is basic, the bathroom could use some updating. All said, I would stay here again.

💟Love, love, love Driftwood Inn! Beautiful grounds, easy beach access & cozy place to stay! Welcoming staff that introduced us to Woody the great dane & the beautiful bird my husband took up with automatically! Just booked our 2nd stay and I'm very excited! We don't care anything about all the hype of Panama city Beach except to visit for... More
