OK, so it's not the Ritz Carlton, but Driftwood is interesting. The Staff (including the very large and noisy bird) leaves a bit to be desired. I got the distinct impression that most of the guests are returning and "know the ropes". I traveled with my daughter and this was our first stay. Later, her comment was like it felt... More

My family and I have stayed here several times and never had a problem. Beds could be better but good things made up for it, until my very LAST stay few weeks ago. Money in room became missing. (walked off with someones help)Yes, we should have been more careful. But, manager could care less and very rude about it. My... More

We rented cottage #4 for 2 nights, right on the beach and perfect for us! Queen bed for my husband and I and futon for our daughter. Nice full kitchen too. Definitely recommend! Adding photos of the property and inside of the cottage. Chairs on the porch with coffee and breeze... Heaven :)

I have to pretty much agree with the last review written about the conditions of the Driftwood Inn but have to say what a perfect beach location and outside property this is. The inn needs a facelift as the rooms are looking outdated and furniture in sad shape. didn't have a cleanliness issue with our cottage. this is just such... More

Wow. Southern charm is limited to the dated facade. The space this "Inn" occupies on the beachfront is the only reason it remains operational. Sure the flowers are nice, the decks, and outdoor spaces are welcoming, but that's the end of anything resembling comfort. The staff are all frowning. One brief conversation with the owner reveals why, I no longer... More

We stayed here for a friend's wedding so not a place we were seeking. This is a very old place with lots of living arrangements. We opted for a one bedroom cottage with kitchenette. There is no dining room or bar so you are on your own as far as eating and drinking. Coffee in morning in lobby. Rooms are... More

We wanted a quiet relaxing beach vacation. Well, the beach was quiet and relaxing but our room #14 was clean but had old uncomfortable furniture that needed updating. We were told it had a fully stocked kitchenette. Well, the first morning we went to make coffee at 6:30 am and no coffee pot and very few other supplies to cook... More

My son wanted a relaxed beach wedding. This spot was perfect for our needs. We had around 100 people attend. Our wedding guests stayed on property and made a mini vacation of it. The rooms are large and fully equipped. We cooked our meals here and enjoyed fantastic scenery and sunsets every waking moment. Staff was more than accommodating, David... More
