After reading all the comments on the hotel, I find it hard to believe they were talking about the same hotel we stayed in. This hotel is not in the best part of town the area is ran down and dirty.they advertise that they have 'new rooms'. while it is true that the furniture is new,everything else is ran down.the bathroom is old the paint is peeling everywhere, from the outside it looks abandoned. The staff quickly and courteously moved us from a room where the AC failed. The rooms are clean, but you can see the wear-and-tear on the hotel. The pool area is pleasant, with plenty of sun and shade, and an evening bar. The location is central to almost all the tourist stops. more

I stayed at the Clarion for one night in mid-January. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, that was the only positive thing about my experience. My room needed serious renovating, including the rest of the facility. Throughout were very worn carpeting, peeling paint, and very dated decor. I would not stay at this property again. more

We were there the week after Christmas.The only good thing here was the staff. The rooms were awful. Everthing was broken. The beds were terreible, the carpets ripped, we had adjoining rooms and the doors between them could not be closed. This place was fantastic from start to finish. When I tried to check in, I was early...the young lady at the front desk (Lindsy) was very helpful in accomodating me, even though the hotel was mostly full. I have stayed here 3 times in August, making reservations each time prior to arrival. I am on the road a lot, in hotels all over east coast of Florida, and I really like this Clarion......I can arrive at 1pm and get right into a room....they have refrigerators and microwaves in most rooms, as well as coffee makers and hair... more
