At the end of the little village of Gerakari in Crete you will find the Alexander hotel. It has beautiful and luxurious rooms. a swimming pool and a very helpful staff. It certainly is worthwhile visiting this hotel. The nice furniture and decorations in the lobby and reception area make you think you're in a museum. We only paid 50... More

What a gorgeous hotel set in the beautiful Amari Valley. We walked in to our lovely room opened the blinds and just said........WOW WHAT A VIEW :-) It really is a spectacular setting in a valley that is seeped in history. The room had everything you could possibly want for a comfortable stay and it certainly was a bit of... More

This is an extraordinary hotel - in the proper sense that it is out of the ordinary. At the price it has to be rated very good - but read on. The positives: - the most luxury you are likely to find for Euro 50/room/night B&B (possibly anywhere). - comfy beds, fluffy towels, well furnished air conditioned rooms. - exceptional... More

We telephoned ahead to inform of our arrival as requested on the booking form to be told the hotel was closed. We had been driving for three hours in the mountains without a room in sight so had to continue to the hotel and hope our booking was valid. Fortunately, the hotel was open but the receptionist was very unhelpful.... More

We stayed here on December 26th and 27th. When we arrived there was a large family gathering who had been here for Christmas, but we were made to feel welcome. The following night, we were the only guests in the hotel so rather than have a buffet breakfast, we were served it sitting at our table. The hotel is full... More

No words to describe the luxury, the personnel and the amenities of this hotel. An excellent 3 star hotel that could make some 4 star hotel hang their heads in shame. Highly recommended, we could go back to Gerakari just to stay again to this hotel. Absolutely loved it!!!

If you'd like to stay in a four star hotel for the price of an average two star, this is the place to go. Everything at Alexander hotel is excellent, the rooms, the swimming pool, the breakfast, the details and the staff. The view on the psiloratis is just wonderful and the Amari valley has many treasures to reveal. If... More

I would have to be really choosy to find something negative about Alexander. Rooms are extremely clean, reception looks like 5 stars, common areas decorated in style. Superb view of psiloritis' peaks, environment of excellent quality & condition. For the picky ones, bathroom size will be a minus, but not for me. If you are visiting off season, better to... More

We live locally, and with some friends who are frequent visitors to Crete have watched the development of the Alexander Hotel with interest. We decided to try it out for ourselves and were so impressed with everything it has to offer that we will undoubtedly return. Sitting by the pool with the backdrop of Psiloritis is something that has to... More

Stayed in this hidden jewel twice, if you really search for something unique Don't miss it....This hotel is in a small village of Rethymno. Its new its the most cost/benefit hotel you can imagine. The rooms although they could be bigger have 5 stars facilities and the most of them great view in the Cretan mountains. The main building is luxurious... More
