This small B & B is a totally unique place. The reason : the two fantastic people: the Owners. The warmest feeling I had ever experienced. My bedroom was extremely clean; the view from my terrace was just spectacular! Bill was very helpful with all the information around the area; whereas Diane provided maps and fresh fruits from the garden.... More

I planned a quick getaway for my daughter and I before school began, and chose the funky fishing town of Matlacha. This was hands down the best getaway for a mother daughter duo on a budget. We felt safe and incredibly welcomed by our hosts and the town's offering of fun, food and relaxation. The proprietors, Diane and Bill, are... More

While we travel to many areas, we appreciate the low key down to earth locations without fancy and frills. This is the place which is in a delightful location on the water where you can view manatees and dolphins as they pass by. The osprey has their nest just outside off the deck. Breakfast is charming, but in one review... More

We stayed at this wonderful location for 2 nights to celebrate our anniversary. It felt as though we were staying with family. Bill and Diane were there for advise on the area and good conversation if we wanted it, but also gave us our privacy. Matlacha is centrally located, perfect for exploring this area of Florida. The Inn has beautiful... More

If your looking for luxury, this is not the place for you, but I'm giving it 5 stars. If you are looking for a clean, very comfortable, cozy, quiet, lovely home with views that are breathtaking, don't miss this gem! Bill and Diane were wonderful hosts and do everything to make you feel welcome and at home. They work very... More

We visited Bayview in early April for a week. We loved the breakfasts with coffee, fresh fruit, orange juice, etc. In particular, we loved the waffles with fresh blueberries and the fresh baked muffins. Bill & Diane taught us about manatees, ospreys, and palmettos. We loved the breezes from the water and the water views in both directions. What a... More

Too much to see and do . . .not enough time! We stayed 4 nights & could only use canoes (free with room) two days, but while we were out we saw numerous dolphin, witnessed sting rays feeding, floated amongst the manatee, discovered Night Egrets nesting, and enjoyed innumerable osprey diving, nesting, mating, and feeding their young! Our hosts, Bill... More

A-Bayview Bed an Breakfast is not a fancy, high-end B&B. It is homey, comfortable, lovely and reasonably priced. Bill and Diane will give you all the local low-down and you will learn more about this area of Florida than any tourist guide can provide. Matlacha has its own old-Florida style. It is a little distant from just about everywhere, but... More

My husband and I have visited Matlacha and we have stayed at Bayview with Diane and Bill. It continues to be a wonderful respite, a time for reflection and the perfect opportunity to enjoy nature. Each room we have stayed in has afforded us a beautiful sunrise, manatee and dolphin sightings and nesting ospreys as we awaited a perfectly suited... More

We were really hoping for a fabulous stay based off of the reviews on TA, but all in all it came up short and here's why: The "free breakfast" is not worth your time unless you like generic stale cereal, generic tang, and reheated frozen pastries. Save your time and go to Sanibel and enjoy a real breakfast. This is... More
