Loved Matlacha, adored the Pink Waterfront Cottage! Clean, cozy, and so relaxing. Beautiful dock allows you to sit and enjoy the water for hours on end...sunsets are awesome. Great host, with excellent ideas on where to eat, and what to do! Perfect place to "chill" and "unwind". Looking forward to our next visit to the Pink Waterfront Cottage. Matlacha is... More

Great place. We had our own dock, caught some snook and seatrout right off of it. There is a kayak ramp which we put to good use. The cottage is roomy and had everything we needed from shampoo to pots and pans. All we brought was ourselves and some fishing gear. Perfect place for a spontaneous getaway. Great seafood at... More

Matlacha is a magical place and this is a wonderful place to stay! Matlacha Island Cottages is within walking distance to the great art galleries, waterfront restaurants and the "fishingest bridge" in the world, The Matlacha Bridge! Very clean, old Florida style, and waterfront with a dock for your boat. You will not be disappointed!!!

Went down to Matlacha for the weekend since it was creative art weekend and rented the pink hybiscus cottage. The location is good to Matalacha as everything was in walking distance. However, since Matlacha is a thin strip a land between water it had a lot of road noise from the street. Traffic did die down after 10pm but started... More

Our family, 2 adults & 2 teenagers stayed in the yellow cottage for a couple nights while catching up with old friends who live on Pine Island. Our friend had recommended staying on Matlacha as it was a quaint, friendly, little artists colony with great atmosphere and lots of good places to eat and drink. He was 100% right! My... More

We had gone a boat sighting trip to Big Pine Key. We had to drive through this little island community of Matlacha. We were trying to pronounce the name on the sign and couldn't figure it out. So we mispronounced in a conversation with a local to get some response. We got "Oh you mean MATT LA SHEY" and we... More

The matlacha island cottages have everything you need to escape the real world! My 15 yr old son and i stayed in the pink hibiscus for a week and we had a absolute blast. Matlacha is like a west coast version of key west, laid back, mellow, and very friendly local people. If you like a 5 star resort, people waiting on you... More
