We recently stayed one night at Clonabreany House after a beautiful wedding reception on the premises. The style and decor is classy and elegant with a touch of rural Ireland, while the site surrounding area is remote, picturesque and very peaceful. We were a wedding party of about 170 and had the entire place to ourselves. The staff in particular... More

Had a wonderful experience at a recent wedding here. Some of the friendliest service I've ever come across, beautiful setting, and wonderful attention to detail. Very good food, especially given the amount of people who were catered for. Breakfast the next morning was plentiful, with a good selection on offer. The rooms and accommodation were beautiful and extremely clean. My... More

Attended a wedding here recently. Nestled on a country hill is this breathtaking manor, with a rambling path, with beautiful gardens that lead you up to the grand house. A perfect setting for a wedding. Customer service was excellent and all staff were highly trained and professional, and this showed in the communication between floor staff and management. The food... More

Attended a local wedding in Clonabreany House in June. This is a lovely setting with accommodation (highly priced even for a wedding), lovely courtyards for a fine evening (which we had) a smallish bar with restricted seating and a large marque which was comfortable. Despite the large number of young servers, service was slow, food was mediocre, coffee was cold... More

Thank you for your honest and frank review. We have noted your comments and we apologise for the bad experience you had in Clonabreany . Whilst we understand Clonabreany is not, and never will be everyone's cup of tea, we can only apologise for the fact that your coffee temperature was too low. Kind regards, Jane More

I attended a wedding here and was totally blown away by the service. The staff from beginning to end possess a high degree of professionalism coupled with the balance of gentle affability that ensures you get the best of service with the feeling of friendship and humour that is unmatched in similar locations. Food was excellent from canapés, to home... More

Stayed over night here for a wedding and had an enjoyable stay. Very attentive friendly staff. We were warmly greeted and directed to the carpark. Check in was fast and friendly. Our apartment was gorgeous however a little unusual-Extremely overpriced for sharing an apartment with strangers, it would be a great experience for a family staying in the apartment but... More

Many thanks for taking the time to review Clonabreany House. I am glad you enjoyed the venue overall and thank you for highlighting some housekeeping issues. They were dealt with as a matter of urgency. Regarding the courtyard accommodation we do ask the Bride & Groom to pre-allocate guests to the cottages and advise them to group friends and family... I attended my niece's wedding in Clonabreany House on the 28th March,2014. From the moment we arrived we were highly impressed. The house is set in a remote, rural area which makes it unique in itself. It's in Crossakiel,Kells,Co.Meath,Ireland. The first person I met outside was a very friendly carpark attendant who directed me to the parking area. A very important... More

Stayed 2 nights for wedding in May. Attentive staff team, clean & classy rooms, a good atmosphere of old-world rural charm, and food was fantastic from the organised breakfast through to event menu. The manager was a friendly chap genuinely interested in us and keen to share a drink. As an international visitor this is exactly what one anticipates of... More

Billed as a 4 star accommodation, I would have to strongly disagree. While the main house and wedding marquee were beautiful and well staffed, the cottage accommodations were very poor. Perhaps we were in a less modernized cottage, as other reviews of Clonabreany House are all stellar. We had requested an en suite, but were put in a small dark... More

Thank you for your open and honest feedback following your stay here at Clonabreany House while attending a recent wedding and it is regrettable that you found the room in which you stayed to be unsatisfactory. Our on-site accommodation consists of a courtyard of 10 self-contained cottages which are part of a protected structure which limited the restoration works. Unfortunately... More

Very rural and unusual venue but in a very positive way. The staff were pleasant and attentive. The food was nice and the little shebeen was different- the cottages were very modern and well kitted out. Positive- would definitely go back. Negative-The toilets off the marquee got very smelly as the night went on and was a little overpowering.
