Just returned from another stay at Surfs Inn. As always, the room was neat and clean, staff friendly and helpful. You cannot beat this location for walks along the beach, which is just steps from every room.Near to John's Pass Village,as well as other shops and restaurants.Found a new (to us) restaurant for grouper sandwiches, Screwy Louie's South Beach Bar and... more

We stayed the first week of November. This is an older, rather funky, mom-and-pop, friendly place; perfect for us. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Had a ground floor large efficiency (with small sitting room allowing more space for our 4-day stay) unit which opened up to a picnic table and shuffleboard. The sugar-sand beach was around 20 feet... more

My husband and I took 4 of our grandkids for a beach weekend. We stayed in room 109 which was a large efficiencey. We did get the requested room on the lower floor. The room was clean upon our arrival with no issues and plenty of towels, blankets, sheets and toilet paper. There was a double bed, a twin bed... more

Stayed here once again almost every year since 1963!!!!! Sure it's getting some age, and there are always ways to improve the place, but it doesn't get any better then this, perfect location by the beach, all rooms face the Gulf, nice pool, nice pool deck to enjoy just being there. Great places to eat near by, John's Pass about... more

My sister and I took her kids to Madeira for a few days. We were thrilled about our upcoming beach stay and excellent hotel price. Our excitement bubble burst rather quickly when we rolled up to the Surf's Inn. From the outside, we thought..it's not so bad. Just a little old. One of those good old fashioned Florida beach motels.... more

Myself and my teenage daughter are just (literally) back form Surf's Inn and we totally enjoyed ourselves! The rooms are small but clean. They could use updating, but they are clean! We stayed in 106. We did have an issue where we were locked out of our room (the lock was broken) but it was fixed immediately so we were... more

old florida motel-ish but quite sufficient for a beach stay. fab pool area with lots of tables, loungers, and two grills (better if they were gas). nice beach , beautiful sunsets. NO INTERNET!!! word to the wise --- don't come in too many cars!!! they REALLY only allow one parking spot per room - unless they aren't full! check-out was... more

This is our seventh year at Surfs Inn and we will keep going. New management has begun to make some improvements in the place and has added more staff to keep the place up. This is what going to the beach used to be. Not sitting six stories up in a sealed condo. Right on the beach, nice pool, clean... more
