My dog and I have been with Kathy for the last 3 out of 4 years. I do travel quite a bit but have never done a review. After reading the recent review on the jungle room I had to speak up. I have no idea what place they were talking about, because it sure wasn't changing tides. I was... More

Wasn't so sure I'd like Madeira Beach, I'm more of a Panhandle gal, but I was pleasantly surprised. This place is so relaxing: stayed in Sports cottage and loved it. These cottages are pretty old, I'm guessing, but I found them clean and comfortable. I saw bugs outside, and a few small lizards, but as someone else said this is... More

This is our second visit and both times stayed in the Nature cottage. Both times our cottage has been very clean and the owners are helpful in area restaurants and places to visit. Our favorite thing is our dogs are so welcome without the ridiculous extra charges. The beach and Johns pass is so close to walk too. You get... More

We really enjoyed this stay. I read other reviews mentioning bugs and uncleanliness. As far as the bugs...this is Florida. You're bound to get the occasional bug, especially roaches. And unless you see tons of them (which we did not) then there is nothing to be alarmed about. You are in a tropical setting. They sneak in. As far as... More

I would like to start off and say that my husband and I take a lot of mini vacations and love traveling our wonderful state, so we've stayed in many hotels, cabins, condos, ect. We were looking for something a little more low key and relaxing and boy did we find it at Changing Tides! This place was exactly what... More

Stayed at Jungle Cottage for three seasons during month of March. Wife walked across floor to goto bed, feet were dirty and black. Had to wash her feet. Birds in the attic kept us awake at night. Second season thought we would try it again, floors still filthy, and we had raccoons in the attic. Overall place was filthy. Liked... More

I must say that I find this ‘review’ more of an attack than a review of our Jungle Cottage. I am also saddened to think that after three seasons a guest of ours would feel such anger and frustration with me, Kathy. During the winter season we spend anywhere from 30 – 90 days with our guests. It begs credulity... More

Been to johns pass several times, stayed in noisy congested areas. Found changing tides gave her a call booked it not knowing what it was or exactly where it was, to my surprise it was Hiddin on a back street right behind johns pass . Walking distance to everything, very quite place and the view from the cottages to die... More

1st time visitor, but I will be back. My 3 small dogs and I stayed for 2 weeks and was treated like old friends, by the owner, Kathy. I've read some of the reviews and yes, you see the back of her head often and that's because she is in her 70's and always on the run. I watch her... More

This was our fifth visit to Changing Tides over the last four years. We love the relaxed tropically lush atmosphere. Every cottage we have stayed in had it's own unique eclectic decor and we can't decide which one is our favorite. Not only are they pet friendly but also family friendly. Kathy gave our toddler granddaughter such special attention and... More

This place is the bomb!!! We like everyone else, is now going to be a regular. The owner is fantastic. We could have cast the rod from our bed in the "Fishing Cottage" John's Pass at your feet, [a boardwalk], The Gulf is a half a block away. Why leave the Cottage?? A joy to be at with all the...
