We just got back from our 4th stay at the Tides a few weeks ago, and I honestly can say that I can't imagine what the last 2 reviewers are talking about. It is well advertised as an older resort and as such, has eclectic furnishings and objects. That is one of the things that appeals to me. If you've... More

This is our second time back to Changing Tides and we stayed in the same unit (we asked the owner which unit the Beach Jail review referred to and it turned out to be ours). My wife and I were dumbfounded that this was our romantic "Music Room". Here is our review: Changing Tides is an unusual find in a... More

It is never my intention to hurt a business, But in this case, I have to write this review, because reviews are the reason my husband and I rented this cottage for two weeks, although we actually left our vacation 2 days early because we could'nt stand staying another night. These are, by far, The WORST accomodations I have ever... More

My Husband and I frequently stay in cottages. I understand older cottages may have older appliances and furniture. However, our cottage called the romance cottage was old and dingy. We were to stay 2 nights. After seeing how dirty our room was the first night, the owner was kind enough to refund our 2nd night. My mother, husband, and I... More

This is a very cozy place. The entire place has 1 and 2 bedroom cottages that are older, so don't expect high end, but all is clean and cute and quaint and relaxing on the water with docks out back, kayaks for use, and all the pets roam and play together. !/2 mile or less walk to Hubbard's Marina and... I loved this place, mostly. The location, for me, couldn't be better. I was seeking a all-in-one locale with easy access to fishing and the beach - that also allowed dogs and had the conveniences of home. Changing Tides met all those criteria. The cottages were clean and had everything my friend and I needed to do our own cooking,... More

We had a two bedroom cottage. Kitchen is small, but has everything you could need. I was on vacation so everything came out of frig, microwave or restaurant, so it worked for me. lol. Walk to beach in just a few min. Crossing the 4 lanes of Gulf Blvd was not bad at all.(something I was worried about) 133rd and... More

Reminded me of time spent here in Florida as a young boy in the early 60's. We stayed in the Nature Cottage overlooking the Marina, peaceful at the far end of the property and perfect for our dog who usually barks at passerby's. Features; 1 bedroom cottage with full kitchen with all utensils, pots, pans and dishes, full sized fridge,... More

Even though I am a dog lover I do NOT want to sleep in sheets covered in dog and long human hair, which there were both. Didn't discover until the girls were getting in their beds the first night so didnt want to disturb the owners. Had them shake the sheets out but they were still grossed out. Sheets were... More

We are very sorry that our guest had to experience hair on their sheets. Certainly anyone would be upset. Since I, Kathy, the owner, washed and replaced the original sheets, I am at a loss to say what happened. However, it happened and for that I am sorry. I am also sorry that our guest did not come to the... More

We stayed for 2 nights (3 of us) and our dog. We were in the Nature Cottage which is right on the water. The view was the thing I fell in love with. I just threw open the drapes from the bed and was greeted by the intracoastal and beautiful boats - just 10 feet from my bed! Right outside... More
