Been to johns pass several times, stayed in noisy congested areas. Found changing tides gave her a call booked it not knowing what it was or exactly where it was, to my surprise it was Hiddin on a back street right behind johns pass . Walking distance to everything, very quite place and the view from the cottages to die... More

1st time visitor, but I will be back. My 3 small dogs and I stayed for 2 weeks and was treated like old friends, by the owner, Kathy. I've read some of the reviews and yes, you see the back of her head often and that's because she is in her 70's and always on the run. I watch her... More

This was our fifth visit to Changing Tides over the last four years. We love the relaxed tropically lush atmosphere. Every cottage we have stayed in had it's own unique eclectic decor and we can't decide which one is our favorite. Not only are they pet friendly but also family friendly. Kathy gave our toddler granddaughter such special attention and... More

This place is the bomb!!! We like everyone else, is now going to be a regular. The owner is fantastic. We could have cast the rod from our bed in the "Fishing Cottage" John's Pass at your feet, [a boardwalk], The Gulf is a half a block away. Why leave the Cottage?? A joy to be at with all the... We just got back from our 4th stay at the Tides a few weeks ago, and I honestly can say that I can't imagine what the last 2 reviewers are talking about. It is well advertised as an older resort and as such, has eclectic furnishings and objects. That is one of the things that appeals to me. If you've... More

This is our second time back to Changing Tides and we stayed in the same unit (we asked the owner which unit the Beach Jail review referred to and it turned out to be ours). My wife and I were dumbfounded that this was our romantic "Music Room". Here is our review: Changing Tides is an unusual find in a... More

It is never my intention to hurt a business, But in this case, I have to write this review, because reviews are the reason my husband and I rented this cottage for two weeks, although we actually left our vacation 2 days early because we could'nt stand staying another night. These are, by far, The WORST accomodations I have ever... More

My Husband and I frequently stay in cottages. I understand older cottages may have older appliances and furniture. However, our cottage called the romance cottage was old and dingy. We were to stay 2 nights. After seeing how dirty our room was the first night, the owner was kind enough to refund our 2nd night. My mother, husband, and I... More
