I didn't have great expectations when my husband booked this. We stayed three weeks and had a great experience. Everything was kept very clean. The pool was like bath water. You can hear the monkeys and lions from Lion Country Safari. It was like being on safari. Also very quiet.

We stayed at this KOA years ago with our kids and just made a return visit with our grand kids :) Clean, well laid out, friendly staff. Small sites, but everything worked out well. There are a lot of retired winter residents, but everyone we met was friendly. Our grandsons found a small patch of sand to dig in and... More

Just spent four days here and loved it. Campground is super clean and very quiet. Absolutely loved hearing the lions roaring in the morning and evening. Monkeys could Also occasionally be heard. Got free passes to the safari park and went twice. Especially enjoyed getting to hand feed a giraffe. Free internet but its spotty. We brought our own. No... More

We went with our 17 m.o. son and loved the place. Spent about an hour driving through the safari, which was endlessly interesting. Having the animals (all but the lions) walk right up to the car was a real treat for both the little guy and adults. On top of that, there is the small zoo/amusement park with little rides,... More

We reserved a camp site for our travel trailer for the four day Thanksgiving weekend. I read all of the material on what to do and what to expect when I camped there. I was very disappointed. The sites are very small and crowded up against each other. Very few trees or shade. I love my trees when I'm camping!... More

The campground is clean and well organized. Our only complaint are the hours of the pool and recreation room operation are not very hospitable, being open only from 9-5 could prevent us from future lodging. This is the first KOA that I have ever stayed that does not cater to the customer.

I visited Lion Country Safari on 10/03/14.The weather was perfect. You're given a cd to play in your veh and as u drive thru you see all the animals up close and personal. The lions were the only animals locked in a cage area. It was definitely an experience! Kids and adults of all age would love this. There's a water... More

Coolest thing is the Lions roaring in the morning. Nice pool and play area. Great area for riding bikes. They also have a fenced area for dogs, small but enough. Showers and clean and next to the laundry room. Remember to bring your own laundry detergent if you plan to do laundry after the check in store is closed.
