My husband and I visited end of February for a few days for his birthday. We have stayed at the Ritz in Sarasota as well. By comparison, I have to agree with other reviewers that the LBKR is outdated, but well kept in general. This was our first time in a resort that does not accept any form of payment... More

This resort consists of 5 separate 4 or 5 story buildings that are separate. The service was wonderful but the hotel felt dated and not very clean. It was very cold in February and walking to my meeting from my room was really far and none of us were in the same building. However there was a wedding on the... More

Overall, Longboat was great. Room was great as was the service during our 4 night stay. Grounds were clean and staff was friendly and very cordial. One suggestion would be to offer more of a variety of food choices at restaurants at the resort. Outside of that our stay was great would most definitely plan on returning. Attaboy to Brittney... One’s conclusion regarding this hotel will vary depending on the reason for your intended travel. As a gulf coast vacation get-away for the well-heeled leisure traveler, this resort receives 5 stars. However, if the reason is for business travel or business meetings, this facility is not up to standards for today’s business meetings. The hotel’s setting is a true resort... More

Lots of plusses to this resort - the staff could not be more helpful, lots of tennis courts, a nice fitness center and a lovely spa. I had a really great massage there (I think her name was Christine). The beach is just about perfect - long and deep with smooth white sand - no seaweed or shells, and you... More

This was our second stay at Longboat Key Club. Over the years the resort has aged and it’s a little tired. The décor is dated and there is way too much formica everywhere. The room we stayed in was an efficiency with a kitchen and sofa. They had done a few upgrades to spruce it up but it was still... More

Service was quite good (say 4.5 of 5) and the lobby restaurant comfortably perfect. We stayed during the coldest week of February, so much that we would normally enjoy (i.e. Warmth and Sun!) was left for the next sojourners. Acress the street is the Dry Dock Waterfront restaurant, which is great (and is not part of the Resort.)

This was our second stay at Longboat, we returned for a longer stay based on our experience last year. The rooms are, by European standards huge, we had a king size bed, a bathroom with full bath, acres of storage, a balcony with furniture, a dining area and kitchen with dishwasher, dryer and washing machine. By American standards the fittings... More

Overall great stay, rooms very nice and large facing Gulf, Bathrooms are ok nothing super. Most of staff very good, beach server was awesome. You can order food and drinks right on the beach, sweet! You don't need to valet your car, although this is available, parking lots are right there close to your building. My wife went to the... More

Stayed for three nights last week. Junior suite ( three of us )with sea view. Hotel - this is a big complex with golf and tennis available, we used neither but they looked good. Hotel looked clean quite a bit of maintainance going on that we were not told about on booking, didn't affect us really as we were out... More
