Stayed a week and enjoyed a daily beach walk while pooch waited in the cottage. All are vintage 1940s Florida, could use updating in kitchen and bath but adequate. Most time is spent outdoors anyhow...a/c old and noisy but didn't need it much. Fabulous part of Longboat, only 1 mile to Anna Maria Island, 7 to St. Armands and Sarasota,... More

We stumbled across Rolling Waves in our honeymoon 24 years ago. We have been back 7 times. It is a little have in Longboat, fabulous location, clean and tidy cottages, with all you need in the kitchen and outdoor to have the best chilled vacation.

This is a perfect example of how to provide a quaint vacation cottage that mimics "Old Florida" in today's fast moving electronic world we live in. If you want to "get away from it all" and watch the fantastic sunsets, dolphins play in the Gulf and fish from shore for your dinner. This is your next new vacation spot! The... More

Myself and my husband have stayed here 3 times and it's simply a little piece of paradise. Beautiful cabins, situated a stones throw away from the beach, fabulous views and amazing facilities....a home away from home! All the cabins are maintained to an extremely high standard, comfortable lounge for relaxing, amazingly furnished bedroom, clean and tidy bathroom and a well... More

We spent 5 days in Cottage 7 Sept. 19-24 and absolutely loved it! We travelled with our two daughters (6 and 1) and one small dog. The cottage was clean and just enough for our family. We didn't use the pullout as my husband just slept on the couch while my daughter and I slept in the bed and the... More

These picturesque old Florida cottages are wonderful! They are well kept and give the feel of times gone by. We spent a week and it was exactly what we needed. A quiet break from our busy life. No hustle or bustle. The beach is a short walk from the cottage and absolutely lovely. No crowds, no noise, just relaxation. We... More

great old florida before the interstate. My wife stayed here with her Dad in 60's and still loves it. Went by and it is good as ever. Well kept and reasonable on water on Longboat key. Good location. Try the Lazy Lobster early for 1/2 price and great dinner.

This is a taste of "Old Florida" the kind of place that reminds you of days gone by... The "cottages" are painted to match your mood, light fanciful colors that make you smile. The smile will not stop as you enter and find all you really need, no flash, just practical furnishings, comfortable not chic, ones your grandma has. The... More

We stayed at Rolling Waves Cottages in from 04/26 through 05/6, at cottage 6. We go to Southwest Florida annually, and have previously spent time on Captiva, Sanibel, Gasparilla Island, Anna Maria, as well as another place on Longboat (Sandpiper Inn), so we have a lot of places to compare to in the same area, and Rolling Waves is really... We stumbled across Rolling Waves one evening and after booking in for two nights we realized this is a "Keeper!!" We spent one week there and left wishing for a second. Shelley, the manager, is amazing. Her dog only adds more to this personnel accommodation allowing my husband the pleasure of walking him every morning. The location was perfect, very... More
