I cannot say anything bad, it was one of the best experiences I have had. Quie, restful and very clean. Beautiful beach to boot. Many restaurants to choose from. Close to the Mote Marine Aquriam. Full kitchen and a supermarket within 4 miles.

The Sandpiper Inn continues to be our favourite location since 1973. The tropical setting close to the surf, clean, new furnishings, central air, even a dishwasher. High quality eateries within walking distance. Longboat Key is a gem, the Sandpiper under the new owners just a few years ago, makes it well worth your stay. Martinii

We keep returning to this little gem of a resort smack on the Gulf of Mexico, and although it certainly is not fancy, the proprietors, Chris & Harold, not only maintain it superbly, but keep adding improvements (e.g., great new beach umbrellas; new upgraded furniture; a second HD wide screen TV). Having been all around Florida vacationing, we have settled... More

I will keep this short and simple. The Sandpiper Inn is a hidden gem. Perfect in every way! This place has all the charm one could ask for. The rooms and surrounding area are pristine. We will be back for more! Chris, Harold and Ben are wonderful owners and managers.

My husband and I spent a week at Sandpiper Inn and absolutely loved it. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, the beach is right out front (no road between you and the beach), the "cottage" is attractively furnished and very well equipped----kitchen had pretty much everything needed for even a complicated meal (we were missing a baking sheet for chicken wings... Such a nice place. Quiet, beautiful landscaping, direct access to the beach. Many of the guests are repeat customers who stay more than a week and the age range is on the older side rather than younger which again, makes for a quieter stay. Also glad the location was on a quieter part of the island rather than near the... More

Staying at the Sandpiper Inn takes you away from the cookie cutter places of the chain hotels. And it avoids the large condo settings, too. There are only 11 rooms and each one is a bit different in furnishings. There is a full kitchen in each and comfortable beds and couches as well as TV and wifi. Outside your room... More

We've been coming to the Sandpiper since 1998-99, and it gets better every year - if that's possible. The owners are wonderful and we consider them special friends. The individual units are even nicer than last year. New mattresses, new fixtures/sink in the bathrooms, flatscreen TV in the bedroom (in addition to the existing TV in the living/dining area), plus... More

But I guess it's fair since we found it on tripadvisor. Our one bedroom with full kitchen was just perfect, and you can't beat the private beach right outside the door. We would go back in a heartbeat. Way more atmosphere than a high-rise for lots less $$.

Thank you very much for your stay. We are happy you enjoyed our piece of paridise directly on the gulf. We like you always check Trip Advisor for advice prior to a stay. We hope you will come back soon. Sunny Regards, Life is always better at the Beach Christine Gorman Cullison More
