It's funny that this small in surrounded by large resorts and developments. But this inn is the definition of charming. It is very peaceful with 10 or 12 apartments. The couple that runs the inn were very friendly and made sure that we needed everything for our stay. The units were older, but recently renovated with newer A/C units and... More

First stayed here three years ago for four nights and couldn't wait to come back for an entire week. Units have been upgraded since then, and we loved the recliner sofa! The a/c was SO quiet and efficient, too. The laid back setting and friendly people who stay there are the best! It's like turning back the clock to the... More

I needed a place to stay after meeting a friend for lunch in Bradendon, FL, and decided I wanted a place right on the beach. So I drove and happened upon this wonderful privately-owned little inn. The private beach on the Gulf of Mexico is lovely and comfy loungers provided along with beach towels. A small little pool for an... More

We came here for our 5th anniversary. (Having already had 2 kids we needed a RELAXING weekend) This was the perfect place for us. We've done the fancy resorts, the go-go-go places, & wanted something more laid back. The rooms aren't new- but they are clean. Everything is well kept & neat. If you're the type that has to have... Locally run hotel right on the beach in Longboat Key was comfortable and clean. The room space was sufficient for three of us, and was very clean when we arrived. They were very accommodating to our request for an early check in. While it is not a new or luxury hotel, it was right on the beach and satisfied our... More

Thank you for your stay on our wonderful "Old Florida" property directly on the beach in Longboat Key Florida. This guest is correct, as I have mentioned numerous times, the Sandpiper Inn is not a high end luxury hotel. If you need that type of facility, there are many hotels in the Sarasota area that have maid/turndown service, restaurants etc?... More

We recently returned from a 4 night , 30th anniversary stay at The Sandpiper Inn. Our unit was recently renovated---the bed, the kitchen cabinets, the flooring, all appeared new, and was very comfortable and clean . The a/c unit was exceptionally quiet, and kept the rooms really cool. The beach was about 200 feet from our room, and there were... More

We just returned from a three night stay at the Sandpiper Inn on Longboat Key. This was a wonderful location walking distance to three different restaurants. Only about 10 or so rooms here so it is very quiet and right on a beautiful beach. We would definitely stay here again. Reasonably priced for the area, understand that Longboat Key is... More

My wife and I recently stayed 2 nights here to celebrate our 20th anniversary. W stayed in room 201 facing the ocean and loved it. Everything about the place made you feel at home. We also loved the fact that there was no smoking anywhere in the rooms or on the hotel grounds. If you're looking for a quiet, peaceful,... More

Love this place. Right on the beach. Lush landscaping. Yes it has a very small pool....but we came for the beach. Nice & clean. We rented a 1 bedroom and it was perfect. Will bring the kids next time. Close to restaurants too.
