We stayed at unit 506 The Beachcomber... what a great experience! Neatly decorated, super well maintained, clean and well-equiped... amazing views. We have absolutely no complaints about the apartment and/or the building... everything was just great, which helped ensure our great time. We are a family of 4 with 2 children ages 7 and 3. I thought by the end... More

We had a beachfront/corner unit condo for 7 days and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The condo had everything we needed to enjoy our time at the wonderful pool or down at the beautiful beaches! Very close to restaurants, the grocery store, St. Armand's Circle and all the attractions that matter! The managers of the complex were extremely nice and helpful with... More

The Beachcomber is a wonderful place to stay. Our condo looked directly at the beach and was spacious for a family of four. It was incredibly clean and well kept. We would love to return. The condo managers were very accomodating and helpful.

We rented unit 302, and it was perfect for my parents, my husband, my son, and me. My 21 month old son thoroughly enjoyed playing at the beach and in the pool. We couldn't have asked for a better location. Plus, it was great to have a fully stocked kitchen, as going to restaurants with a toddler can be quite... More

We had a wonderful time staying at the Beachcomer. Our condo was beautifully decorated and most importantly, it was spotless. When we leave our home to spend a vacation we expect to stay in a place that is comparible to home meaning comfortable, well equip with necessities & most important cleanliness. This facillity had all that and more. We defintely... More

Just returned from a week on LBK. I'll break down my review into three parts: Longboat Key area, the unit we rented (#303) and the Beachcomber property. LBK (5 stars) - PROS: area is beautiful & plenty to do within a short drive (St. Armand's, downtown Sarasota, Anna Maria Island, etc). Very good for outdoor exercise - biking, running, walking.... So sorry we could not meet your expectations. Once in a while we have guests like you that feel state laws, local codes, and property rules do not apply to them. Happily we are fortunate enough that the vast majority of our guests, as well as the many returning guests, some for 20 years or more, enjoy their stays with... More

We chose this location because of the direct gulf front view, and we were not disappointed with the excellent balcony view. Each morning, we enjoyed sitting on the balcony for breakfast. The unit we stayed in was a little dated for appliances, but it was clean and the furniture was in good condition. The hallway to the condo units are... More

July 2011 Pros: close to Publix, St. Armand's Circle, Sarasota, multiple beaches, restaurants, etc. Cons: Property - very basic condo property, very small pool, not kid friendly by any stretch of the imagination. Unit - dated and a little dirty Management - rude/nasty; first time we have ever experienced anything like it; rules for everything under the sun posted all... More

This was our first stay at the Beachcomber but we plan to be back. Like all the accommodations on the Gulf-side of LBK, the beach here is beautiful. The Beachcomber location was ideal, quiet but within walking distance of a grocery and several restaurants . Our condo was clean and well equipped, pleasantly appointed. Some units are more updated than... More

Have stayed at the Beachcomber more than 5 times over the last 8 years or so. A great property directly on the beach in Longboat key. LBK has tons of multi million dollar homes but we like the Beachcomber beacause it is very clean, simple but elegant and right on a beautiful calm beach.
