I read all these positive reviews and thought I would give it a try. Boy, did I make a mistake. Either the other reviewers had never stayed in a quality facility or I must have missed something. The sunsets were gorgeous, but they are anywhere on Florida's west coast. We won't be back. more

Just got back from my SECOND trip to Edgewater, and again, had a GREAT time! Very clean, and great staff!! The location with the sunsets are awesome!! Planning next years lobster season there and can't wait!! more

Just returned from another great weekend at the Edgewater Lodge. From our room, literally at water's edge, the view of Florida Bay seems endless, and the sunsets never disappoint. This "Keys-style" resort is clean and comfortable, operated by attentive owners who can also provide local knowledge of fishing/diving activities, as well as recommendations for the best local eateries. more

The whole property is old Florida Keys style. So the cottage we stayed in was similarly old, but clean. The a/c was deafeningly loud. The location right at the end of Long Key is just great for us boaters, as we can just zip around the corner and be in the Atlantic and off to the reefs or stay bayside.... more

Not fancy but to open your sliding glass door right out onto the water..just a foot below you is heaven. Ifyou like to snokel, you step out of room and see everything from lobster to parrot fish.
