Our family stayed at the Sea Lord for three days during Easter Break. . . .We were more than pleasantly surprised at the amenities and fabulous view. We booked a one-bedroom apartment and wished we had booked there for our entire Easter vacation. The apartment was large and the kitchen well-equipped. This family-owned property takes pride in the cleanliness and... More

This hotel is great! It is quiet, clean, and the service is AMAZING! It is right on the beach with a pool and awesome views. We just showed up to Lauderdale-by-the-Sea because we needed to pick up my in-laws from their cruise the next day. It was a Saturday and every "chain" place we had heard of was already booked... A wonderful family operated beach front hotel that offers you a warm welcome and excellent service. This was our second visit to the Sea Lord and once again they didn’t disappoint. We stayed in an ocean front junior suite which was very spacious and looks to be recently remodeled with modern furnishings. The room includes a kitchen which is well... More

We spent two nights at the Sea Lord before catching our cruise ship. The hotel may not be quite as close to the FLL airport and Port Everglades as some properties (about a 20 minute cab ride), but that's about the only negative we could site. Our room was clean and spacious, with a coffee maker and refrigerator. The continental... More

The location is great. You are on the sand. The biggest problem are the rates that are charged for this hotel. It is ridiculous. You can stay at any hotel you want that will also be on the sand in Lauderdale By The Sea and even if the rates are about the same, you'll get tons of extras like a... More

Excellent service, love being on the beach, staff is very acommodating to any needs. Plenty of good restaurants within walking distance, e.g. East Side deli for breakfast special or lunch, Keese's for falafel or mid eastern, Kelwins for ice cream. Boat basin nearby Bahia Mar for fishing or snorkel trips, and then all of the Ft Lauderdale greats e.g. Las Olas.... More

I found this hotel on the Internet and took a chance, but it paid off. Though the hotel was older, the setup is great. We had a two bedroom suite for six people and it was extremely spacious. The view was fabulous and the staff was very accommodating. The continental breakfast was a very pleasant surprise and had a wide... More

Just got back from an 8-day stay. My ocean-front view was fantastic. The room had new bathroom fixtures. Pretty tile floors were also practical for beach & water location. The full kitchen was handy, including dishes, pots & pans, and utensils. The continental breakfast was pretty standard, but did include hard-boiled eggs for a non-carb choice. While it had no... Stayed there for Easter week in oceanfront room: perfect. Very clean, great view, extremly helpfull and friendly staff. All rooms are non-smoking. They offer a small Continental breakfast (prepacked, but good coffee), free beach-chairs. Not so good: quite small pool. If you wanna go there ask for a oceanfront corner room, since the building is quite old and poorly soundproofed....

Stayed for seven nights in oceanfront room. Two adults, two children and one infant. Good: Oceanfront, great view, uncrowded sandy beach, walk to town, family friendly, nice size suites. The best thing about this hotel is you are right on the ocean and have great views from your room. Not so good: extra charges for safe, beach chairs and local... More
