Work usually takes me to Hyatts, Hiltons & Marriotts - nice but rarely interesting. But annually for 1 week, I attend a convention in Ft. Lauderdale and stay at the Sea Lord. From my balcony, I watch the surf break 40 ft. away, sunrises/sets with a glass of OJ, water or wine ..lovely. The well-equipped kitchen (the best knives ever)... More

My oldest daughter and I stayed here 2 nights before our cruise. The outside rooms are a walkway so you couldn't leave your drapes open. The floors were tiled and the walls were paper thin. You could hear the conversation in the next room very clearly. The tub had hair in it. There is a 10.00 fee for lounge chairs... More

My husband and I stayed four nights in jr. suite #401 at the Sea Lord in January '09. There is free parking on site, with several restaurants a three block walk away. The balcony (with two plastic chairs and a small table), the beach, and the ocean view are wonderful. The room, as described by previous reviewers, was clean, with... More

My boyfriend and I just got back from a wonderful vacation in Lauderdale By the Sea. We stayed at the Sea Lord for four nights, checking in on a Tuesday and checking out on a Saturday. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful from the time we booked our reservation to the time we checked out. They... More

This hotel was booked based upon the mostly positive reviews found here on TripAdvisor. We stayed here mainly for the convenience to the beach and the price. Nothing glaring in the beginning, it was as our trip unfolded did we stumble upon some negative attributes. The hotel is undergoing some renovations and our room, was one of the few that... More

The location is perfect and the actual rooms are wonderful with fantastic ocean views and have been recently renovated. The hotel is in transition though and going through a series of upgrades. The reservation desk has an artists rendition of what the Sea Lord will look like when completed and until then, they should be charging rates equal to other... More

We just returned from Lauderdale by the Sea and the wonderful Sea Lord Hotel. For years, we have stayed at a place in Pompano Beach, but it was time for a change. I'm so glad we did. The Sea Lord is a gem! We stayed in a Junior Suite...sweet!! Fully stocked kitchen...big vanity/closet. Great bed...we did move the TV around... More

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel because of the amazing view and accessibility to the beach. The hotel is about a 25 minute ride from the Ft. Lauderdale airport ($35.00). It's in a very quiet location, and the surrounding area has small-town feel. We have stayed both times in the junior suite on the lower... More

Our family stayed at the Sea Lord for three days during Easter Break. . . .We were more than pleasantly surprised at the amenities and fabulous view. We booked a one-bedroom apartment and wished we had booked there for our entire Easter vacation. The apartment was large and the kitchen well-equipped. This family-owned property takes pride in the cleanliness and... More

This hotel is great! It is quiet, clean, and the service is AMAZING! It is right on the beach with a pool and awesome views. We just showed up to Lauderdale-by-the-Sea because we needed to pick up my in-laws from their cruise the next day. It was a Saturday and every "chain" place we had heard of was already booked...
