I've stayed here a number of times in the past with my parents when I was in my teens but now found myself in South Florida with my husband with an extra day to stay before a conference. I was very pleased to find that although it had changed hands since I stayed in the '90's, the place was still a fantastic value.

Our room was big and clean. We paid for the most basic room and it still had a fridge and microwave. The neighbourhood is close to everything but still quiet and a mix of residential and other mom-and-pop motels. The pool looked fantastically maintained although we didn't get a chance to use it. The TV actually offered more channels than the MUCH more expensive hotel we were at for our conference.

A block and a half from the beach (clean, calm and unsupervised Lauderdale-by-the-Sea), 2 blocks from the shops and restaurants.

We will definitely be coming back for a longer stay. more
