I so love staying at the LaQuinta. I went down there to visit a friend and I found out that it is so acessible to anywhere you wanted to go. The freeway was very close by.. As my parents have decided to retire in the Lakeland area my wife and I stay at this hotel regularly when we visit them. We have a well behaved Maltese and they accommodate dogs. The hotel is a great value for the price. I think we got our doubles for $69. The staff members are all very pleasant to deal with and nice. The room was nice. Had new furniture, the staff very helpful in locating local eateries. The breakfast bar should be tackled early, due to the complete absence of eggs, and biscuits after 9:00 a.m., plenty of sausage gravy though and it all smelled good. I love this hotel! Whenever I have been in Lakeland, which has been about 4 times in the last two years, I stay there. The rooms are a good size with comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. This Hotel is great for the interstate traveler. It is right of the the interstate. Easy off and on. The rate runs about $120 with taxes. There is an IHOP in the same parking lot with 24 hour food service. Works great for a late night check in after a full day at one of the local theme parks. Easy... more

We were in Lakeland for a rugby tournament. There were several tournaments for several sports and hotels were heavily booked. Stayed here for business throughout a number of nights throughout July & August 2006 with colleages (each of us had our own room). Amenities were decent; did not use the pool but used the fitness center a number of times (small room with a tv, a few machines, a treadmill, biking machine, etc).
