A couple years ago I noticed the Terrace Grille took a turn for the worse... The prices jumped, portions skimped, and changes to the preparations were unfortunate. I essentially stopped frequenting the Terrace Grille because it was not what I had been going there for many years any longer. Much to my joy, changes for the better have finally taken... More

This is a hotel worth the trip. Built when hotels still were important buildings in the middle of the business district, the Lakeland Terrace has what the giant H-boxes out on the Interstate can never have - Class. Built in the 1920's, it has been extensively modernized, and the rooms compare favorably with the Interstate hotels. Maintenance was questionable on... More

This hotel had everything - very nice rooms, lovely restaurant with excellent Sunday brunch (or complimentary sweet rolls & coffee), charming bar, complimentary valet parking and fabulous location. We walked all around downtown - nice shopping & dining! Great location and a great price!

The Terrace Hotel is a reminder of a bygone era - cozy and classy. It's a historic inn - so don't expect the cushy "heavenly beds" or newer bathroom styles of the chain hotels. We booked our room using hotels.com and the excellent rate was honored. I requested an upper floor overlooking the lake -- and that's what we received.... More

This is by far the best hotel in Lakeland.. the staff is exceptional, my room was upgraded after a late check in do to low vacancy. Great corner room, on the top floor. The restaurant is very upscale, also a short 1 block walk to Harrys Seafood. Just a overall nice place. Can't wait to return.

I do not understand how this hotel rates so much lower than the bland, white bread chain hotels that have been ranked higher. The only reason I gave it 4 stars for the room is that my husband had to go out to buy a power strip to accommodate our electronics. The hotel needs to offer charging docks to be... More

The hotel is an historical hotel and that means something. It was not 5 stars but it was very adequate. When I checked in, the front desk was nice but could use some work. The halls smelled of wet paint and I had to pay close attention, not to tough anything. It is a small but very genuine. Housekeeping was... More

This hotel far exceeded our expectations! In town for Flying Tiger games and so glad we chose to stay downtown at this special place. From the valet attendants greeting you in the drive to the front desk associates to the house keepers, everyone was so pleasant and accommodating. Room was just perfect, bed was very comfy and view of the... More

I stumbled upon this restaurant within the historic Terrace Lakeland Hotel when my drive home from the neighboring rural communities of Polk County, FL were blocked by a passing freight and I decided to grab a bite. The attractive hostess was gracious to show me a menu; and though the lump crabmeat bisque appetizer looked attractive, the entrees looked even... More

I stayed at the hotel for two nights and everything exceeded my expectations, especially the service. I would only stay at the holiday inn EXPRESS ONLY. but now I have found a more phenomenal hotel. I was very pleased. Thank you.
