The Kissimmee Pines was a great place to stay as you felt you were in someones home. Sonia looks after her guests really well. We've stayed in some real swanky hotels and some real dumps - but we just loved this place. Small, cosy set-up, built around a good size, clean pool. Great staff, great parking and good clean rooms. We too had read the unfavourable reviews on this site and wondered what to expect. Do not pay any attention! The buildings, grounds and swimming pool are far more attractive and better maintained than Howard Johnson, and the rooms cleaner and fresher. The hotel standard was very poor and nothing like the brochure picture, the room was dirty and the walls were stained, the kettle has to be boiled on the floor and the walls are paper thin.
