This place has so much potential, if you are looking for a place that is close to the water and a good home base while visiting the keys this may be good for you. The rooms are very average / dated! We booked our vacation at MKBC with Chris for Christmas week. We sent a deposit as requested. We purchased nonrefundable air tickets and prepaid our car. One week before our vacation MKBC called and said they would not honor the agreed upon rate and that the rate would be double the amount they had quoted. They cashed our deposit check.... more

Our trip was post hurricane Wilma. That means we couldn't keep our boat and jet ski in the water. The marina is no longer there. They do have a ramp but is in poor condition. Beautiful accommodations! Fully stocked with even a washer and dryer inside the unit. Location is in the heart of Marathon and you can walk everywhere. The room was noisy and the rooms are a little old. A very, very friendly staff helped us and for a place with a private beach the price was great (we used a coupon). It was all clean. The location of the motel was very pleasant. Unfortunately we stayed here only for 1 night. We abolutely recommend this motel!!! more
