We searched for a clean, small and reasonably priced place to stay in the Florida Keys for a week of vacation. The Key Colony met and exceeded these expectations! The staff were very helpful, the property was well maintained and we would definitely recommend it to others who don't want to spend all of their money on accomodations. more

We paid $95 a night over a holiday weekend! I was terrified about the hotel after reading reviews of this hotel posted here. So imagine my pleasant surprise when we arrived at a clean beach hotel. What a bunch of snobs who can't take showers because there was a bit of rust on the rim, blame it on the tropical... more

I was going to Marathon to work for my company for a week. My manager states that this will be a "very nice" hotel. I am sorry, It wasn't a nice hotel. You do get lost trying to find the place and when we checked in at 3:30pm , the staff was extremely rude and told us to wait in... more

Stay away.....do not stop....do not waste your money on this hotel.... We could not find this hotel, so we called. The woman at the front desk was rude and we should have kept going just because of that...We finally found the hotel and found it to be a converted Ramada that we quickly figured out why Ramada took their name... more

Terrible stay. The pool is closed from Health Advisory. Of course, we weren't told this at time of reservation. It is not really on the water. There are a few chairs overlooking a mangrove swamp..........There are some better hotels for better prices that are directly on the water within 2 miles of here. The bathrooms were dirty. The staff was... more

We confirmed our reservation prior to arriving, arrived at the hotel, checked in and at no time were we told the pool wasn't available. We went to our room and got ready for a swim. We walked out to the pool to find a not-too-temporary sign stating "Pool Closed". We went back to the room and called the front desk... more

I stayed here for three nights in late Feb. 06. The rooms were fine. Largish with small fridge/coffee maker, table and chair, balcony (mine looked onto parking lot). I paid only $115 per night which is really good for keys. ROoms were clean enough. Some stains on rug/chairs. Hallways/stairways could use some sprucing up. These things don't bother me. What... more

who spends their time in the hotel while in the keys anyway? we got a great price through expedia.com. the location was centralized- about 5-10 min's from everything you'd want to do in Marathon. the front desk staff who checked us in was very nice and gave us a few pointers of what activities were in the area. we got... more

It can be difficult finding a decent hotel for a decent price in the Keys. My brother and I are broke college students who enjoy diving--- but equally enjoy thriftiness. During our stay, the rooms were clean, comfortable, and the cheapest that we could find throughout the entire Florida Keys. While it isn't by any means a 4 star hotel,... more

We were not offered a 1st floor room, but could have had one after waiting some undetermined amount of time. We had just made a six hour drive from Orlando, so we agreed to trudge up the stairs. No elevator. On the plus side, there are good sized rooms and comfortable beds (and you get a free coffee and the... more
