Unfortunately, supply and demand caused us to pay more for this room than it was worth, but we DID get a good night's sleep. The entire place needs updating and refurbishing. They have some good facilities and nice offerings (kayaking, etc), but it is like a step back in time as the landscaping and acreuments are more like the 60s. The... More

First, let me say that I was familiar with this property and location so that is why I selected it to attend a week-end destination wedding. Just about all of the other wedding guests were staying at Banana Bay, and now I wish I had stayed there too. I made the initial reservation months before. Points to them that at... More

I really enjoy staying at this resort. The staff is excellent and they go above and beyond making sure you are happy. This is an older resort. This is not a luxury resort and you don't pay $800 per night for that reason. The cost is very reasonable. Simple but unique is how best to describe this resort. Great location... More

Property needs to be updated. Room had a strong bleach smell. Sheets on bed were stained and old, and mattresses were old and terrible. Floors were not clean. Stayed there for 3 nights and it was the worst place I have stayed in years. The toilet ran all night. I asked to have it fixed and they made it worse.... More

We stayed for 3 nights, too chilly to enjoy any outdoor sports, but they do have fun stuff for good weather!! Room 66 really needs some freshening up, smell was old and musty. No hot water in morning for shower. We were right on the canal, which was neat, would recommend a room with a kitchenette! Front desk was kind... More

Stayed in room 41 up front next to the office, facing the road. King size bed with mattress that was lumpy so slept poorly. Furnished with a very small bag of ice; no ice trays or coffee provided in the room. No place to put toiletries in bathroom. Worst complaint is there was no hot water in the morning to... More

We stayed for three nights on our way down to Key West. The staff on the front deck were really nice and helpful. We had a very large apartment, separate kitchen/diner, two sets of patio doors leading out to a deck with gas BBQ and the canal. The rooms were clean and bright and very spacious. The complex has a... More

Pet friendly room. A little worn but adequate. Kayaks and bikes available homey and friendly. Actually surprised that we had a small eat in kitchen with a slider to an outside private deck with chairs and a picnic table ,dock and small water view of the canal. We did not have high expectations so we are not disappointed. Pool is... More

Windows grubby, blinds broken, inadequatte lighting both inside and on the porch. Too few chairs for a room that could sleep 6. Microwave low wattage. Loud airconditioning. Staff helpful to an extent. Road facing rooms will be very noisy. Kayaks and bikes included. There is no beach so website photos are somewhat misleading. However, Sombrero beach is not far and... Knew I would not be staying here all that much during the day so was only looking for something clean and convenient. This place delivered on all counts. Room was huge. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bike rental was excellent , as was the pool. Kayaking no big deal , not much to see. Within walking distance of great... More
