I booked a night at this hotel to take my husband to the keys for a weekend for his birthday (we lived in Palm Beach at the time). We didn't want to stay in Key West as its just too busy there for us. This place is about halfway between the start of the keys and Key West. The area... More

We booked the Blackfin Resort for one week in January. Luckily we upgraded to a double room because the singles were very small. The double room was not much better -it had a jail cell feel to it with only two small windows that were too high to see out. It was warm when we visited and we needed to... More

We booked this room sight unseen. When we pulled in from Overseas Highway, I thought to myself "Lord what did we get ourselves into!" The Blackfin Resort is obviously a little dated. OK, a lot dated! But the room was clean and the people were very accommodating. The location was fantastic and I would definitely stay here again. It beats... More

About the only good thing about this place was the setting, which was great--lovely little marina. The "resort" itself was not great. The room was shabby, with the one lamp having a cracked and broken lampshade. The mattress was dreadful and the bed was covered with a very shabby old bedspread. There was one thin pillow for each of us.... More

This hotel is very old and very much in need of a remodel, however, having said that it had an AWESOME front desk staff (an older gentleman) who was very helpful and friendly. It also had very hot, hot, hot water and cold, cold, cold air conditioning, which are two things that are extremely important to me when I travel!!... More

We stayed for 4 nights just after Christmas. We knew we weren't staying at the Ritz and it was a great price for the time of year. The room we had was small but adequate however the bed was awful, I've had a bad back ever since. The whole place is nice enough but needs some TLC. The hurricane bar... More

Don't let the name fool you; this 'resort' is more like a larger motel, but it does have a good layout. There is a marina with many boats and a little beach area where you can get into the water. The rooms are small but clean and seem newly remodeled. Great location too!

We had a spur of the moment trip to the Keys for Christmas and had no reservations. Luckily the Blackfin had an vacancy when we arrived. They were extremely accommodating and very nice. The room was clean, comfy and homey. We will return here in May for our next Keys outing. Thanks Mark and staff for everything.

We stayed overnight at the Blackfin, on 5th of December. Friendly staff, clean functional rooms that allowed for a good nights sleep. The beach peninsula is very pleasant and is a good spot to see the sunset. Idea location for nightlife, good place to stay for a couple of nights.

With much anticipation for arriving at the Blackfin Resort and Marina my sister had reserved, I was shocked to see it was nothing more than a drive-up motel from the 50's. Admittedly, the room appeared clean, though very small. There was a fridge and microwave. I happened to be sleeping next to the roaring air-conditioner which blew furiously on me... More
