If you don't like crowds and enjoy your privacy while on vacation, then this island is for you. I rented it through rentmyisland.com and it is an incredible place to stay. I brought my wife and two young daughters and they all loved it and didn't want to leave. You park on the mainland and the local contact, Rick, brings you across to the island in a 14' Carolina Skiff which is about 300 yards from the mainland. He shows you around the island and home and when you are done, you need to take him back to the mainland then you can return to the island. There are two sea kayaks for use, fishing gear and snorkeling gear as well. You definitely want to snorkel around the island as we saw barracuda, rainbow parrotfish, mullet snapper, and a bunch of other tropical fish I don't know the name of.
