When we arrived it took 20 minutes to check in b/c the man behind the desk did not know what he was doing. He messed up charging my credit card and in the process he and another co-worker started arguing. She was of no help to him, but they fixed it when the manager came over. They finally checked us... more

We loved this place. It was great. The staff is wonderful. Great events running all day! You can charter a boat, or just fish off the dock. Beautiful scenery. Nice pool. I can't say enough about this place. Close to everything. If you go try the Mahi Mahi. Next time we will definitely bring the kids. This place is very... more

Always wanted to see the Florida Keys, and what a wonderful way to see them is to stay at the Bluegreen Hammocks. Staff were great and very helpful with every detail of our new adventure. Our room was quite large for a one bedroom and the very clean and well decorated. We will be going back there soon. Just a hour... more

Thought the room and the view was spectacular! Tiki Bar - limited Menu to say the least. One side of a legal size piece of paper - not much for variety. Concierge(sp?) VERY HELPFUL, as we are moving there next year around this time. He had great recommendations - kuddos to him! Check in was a breeze. We were only... more

Bluegreen has owned the Hammocks for approximately 6 years. I would not classify it as a resort but more like a hotel. The two-bdrm units were spacious-no complaints there. Pool was fine. The Tiki Bar had limited business while we were there but had a good view of sunsets. Location convenient to Pigeon Key and 7-mile bridge. Several restaurants within... more

We are owners of a Blue Green timeshare and, frankly, have been jaded by poor service and lack of maintenance at other properties. The friendly front desk staff, servers (Julie and Gabriella) at Barnacle Barney's Tiki Bar and other staff members at The Hammocks Marathon made us feel very special. Our room, although without a kitchen, was spacious, comfortable, and... more

We just got back from the Hammocks. RANDOM thoughts: We were NEVER asked to attend a presentation (good). We flew to Miami, hopped on the Keys Shuttle (you go by THEIR schedule - sometimes bad). If you do this, call a taxi right away when you get there and go to KMart or something to shop for food - everything... more

Hammocks at Marathon actually called us several days before we were due to arrive to give us helpful hints on packing; info on the resort and driving directions. We were especially grateful for their directions from the Miami airport. Check-in was smooth and easy. We stayed in a two bedroom unit and found it to be nicely decorated and comfortable.... more

Check in was smooth. When we walked into the room, initial reaction was that the room looked dated. The carpet looked and wearing out. A floor tile in the kitchen area was cracked. Now positives - One bedroom suite was much bigger than we expected. It was indeed a suite. Bathroom was nice and HUGE. Kitchen was full with all... more

My husband and I finally took a vacation without our kids. We had a one room studio, which is pretty much a hotel room. We had a wonderful time. The rooms were quiet, clean and large. The Tiki Bar had great food and Tom our bartender/waiter was friendly and great at his job. The bar does not serve liquor, but... more
