I just can't believe how horrid these reviews are!! Newsflash! Your in the keys, nothing is brand new, especially the local inns! We stayed in room 111, the penthouse suite. It had the most incredible view of the water. A gorgeous living room area to enjoy the sunrise and moonrise. Huge kitchen with 2 refrigerators. Did the room need some... More

To be fair, I have to say that I didn't see the place. I couldn't because we had booked a night there through Booking.com (another company I'm not in love with) a couple nights before we were due to arrive. My husband and I were on a trip for our anniversary but we were called home due to an emergency... More

Our employees are very caring individuals that work for a corporation that has set certain guidelines for them to follow. They neither have the ability nor the authority to refund monies to a guest for situations other than those set forth in our company policies. Our policy is simple. It is not negotiable. It is in writing and must be... More

All the other reviews pretty much sum up the place. Old and run down. The smell of damp and mustiness in the room is overwhelming. Our room was surface level clean, but there was mould in the bathroom, old and stained (but clean) sheets and towels, squished bugs behind mirrors etc. We stayed two nights and that is about the... I used to feel bad for the homeless people who were forced to stay in flee bag hotels in depressed areas of Florida. I now know exactly how they feel. The Yellowtail Hotel is an unbelievably BAD hotel. I stayed there because it was pet friendly but even my dog was appalled at the condition of the place. The room... More

We picked this hotel solely based on their web site pictures! The real truth is the pictures this hotel use to show their rooms and grounds ARE at least 20-30 years old. This hotel is BADLY run down, dirty and not kept in good repair......the pictures show a COMPLETELY different era for this hotel, they make the hotel look new... More

hotel in terrible conditions. the private beach is a stinky mud...The community pool is the size of a jacussi, rooms are in poor condition, dirty and smelly. This hotel is a scam, they should demolish it. disrespectful offer that . they do not make you refund! but even we prefer not to use so bad and terrible service and facilities.

We stayed there for 2 nights, the lady at the front desk (Giselle) gave us what I hope is the worst room they have. We were moved three times during our three night stay. First of all, I know Marathon stinks in general, but this “hotel” is located on a particularly smelly side of Marathon. Know that the entire place... More

We arrived there Monday evening for a 2 night stay, we had expected something fairly nice considering the money that we paid which was $300 for 2 nights. We arrived and were greeted by a older woman with glasses, she showed us where our room was, we open up our room and instantly smell a foul odor of fish, the... More

Had a great time. Loved the cottage style rooms and right on the beach. Even if it's not an oceanfront room you walk is about 5 steps then your in the sand. Rented Kayaks and had them delivered and picked up. Was able to drag right off the beach and into the Ocean. Staff is great and accommodating and I... More

We visited the Yellowtail with family and had a great time! Suite with 2 rooms was affordable (by Keys standards) and made it possible for us to all stay together. Property is not well-maintained, but was basically clean. A little disappointed that Oceanfront did not really mean ocean-accessible - You have to wade through grass and trash to get to... More
