After reading all the negative reviews, we reset our expectations and we were still disappointed. What a shame as the property has such great potential due to an ideal location, but the service is literally non-existant. We arrived at the hotel at 3:35 PM and were advised that since it was not 4:00 PM, our room was not yet available.... More

We read your review with great disappointment. While we also get a significant number of terrific reviews on Trip Advisor, we certainly apologize for all of our shortcomings with you. Our records show that we checked you in at 4:38 p.m., which is still too late and unacceptable. We are working on our check-in process to avoid as many delays... More

This was everything we were looking for. A beautiful resort with all of the amenities at your fingertips. The staff was wonderful --knowledgeable and helpful. There were no surprises with the billing. The only thing I wish we did was stay longer. If you have the opportunity to go there--I say you should not hesitate--do it--I am positive you will... More

Don't know where to begin. Wanted a Keys experience after a high energy stay in South Beach so I chose this place (ignoring some of the poor reviews)- Expensive mistake. First of all we valet parked with a lackluster valet I knew right from the start this was not the greeting one should receive when arriving at an upscale establishment.... More

My husband and I just returned from a lovely 4 night stay at Cheeca Lodge. I do not have enough good things to say about this resort and am a little surprised at the less than stellar reviews that I have read on here. (example, the people complaining that they did not have a full-on kitchen at this HOTEL to... More

We stayed at Cheeca Lodge with our two daughters, aged 11 and 8. We had a one bedroom lagoon view suite. For the money we paid we were expecting a five star experience and, although we did have a very nice time, we were not impressed with value for money. We used the tennis courts, bicycles, kayaks and golf course... More

We really loved the property due to its beauty, history and atmosphere. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed in the service from the staff,i.e., bar service on the beach was nonexistent, our food server would go missing for 20 minutes, our food was good but our order was wrong, staff members seemed aggravated when approached about an issue, the adult pool... What surprised us about Cheeca was not the many excellent reviews, but the really scathing ones. There were a couple the week before we went, which gave us paus and I can only think that the weather must have been horrible or those people had other issues affecting their mood. Cheeca was lush and beautiful and an especially terrific place... More

We just got back from 5 days at Cheeca. We flew into Fort Lauderdale and it was a very direct 2 hour drive. There is a Winn Dixie and Publix about 20 minutes from the hotel, so if you want to pick up essentials before you get there, you can. There is also a Trading Post food store right outside... More
