This is clearly an upscale and beautifully landscaped facility. However, there are some drawbacks in comparison to other resorts of the same level. First, there is no access to the spa facilities unless you book a "treatment". You cannot simply go to the spa for a steam and shower. This is a major weakness for a resort of this caliber.... More

We had an ocean view premier suite for 4 nights. We were greeted upon check in with champagne. Kerry couldn't have been more pleasant or helpful. The room was spotless and vast; very comfortable and had a fridge, massive TV with DVD player, Starbucks coffee etc, his and hers sinks, massive shower and a bath on the balcony - which... More

First impression was that this facility was very beautiful. It is covered with tropical foliage and had an upscale feel to it, compared to the other resorts in the area. We were welcomed with champagne and given all the information about the property. We drove to our room and it was very nice. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom... More

To long of a list of disappointments to go into. Had a bevy of excuses about the lack of service, towels , hot water, broken refrigerator , torn wallpaper , soiled couch, murky pool . I have to stop . I have waited years to go to this resort. Have never, never been so disappointed. Not worth half of what... More

They have it right. Beautiful landscape, guard gate could not have been more jovial and informative. Valet or self park no pressure. Courtyard with shops entry to new lobby. Reception flawless and accomodating, welcome glasses of champs. Amazing room details, shower and tub mirrors amazing. Great hair products. Dinner casual reasonable and attentive. Attention to details on the property from... More

Thought I'd read the last dozen or so reviews before writing my own, to see if our experience was out of line. Sadly not: this place suffers from very poor service at very inflated prices. This was the fourth of four similar category hotels that we stayed at on this trip, and it was by far the worst experience. A... More

We only stayed 2 night while on a fishing trip but couldn't have been happier. From the champagne reception and very nice rooms it was perfect. Great restaurant for lunch with a lobster sandwich that had so much lobster we figure it had to have had 2 full lobsters in it. Amazing surprise. Resort fee is expensive but includes so... More

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at Cheeca Lodge this past weekend, our first visit. The service was a highlight, starting with a cheerful greeting by Earl at the front gate and a super check-in experience (the champagne is a nice touch!). Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The lush tropical landscaping is gorgeous. We loved our evening walk around... More

I think the Cheeca Lodge really rates closer to five stars than four. If you don't know Islamorada, it is a laid back part of the Florida Keys, very well known for the Everglades and incredible sportfishing. We were amazed when we drove through the gates, the grounds are exotic and beautifully maintained. We stayed for five days, two days... More
