We had looked forward so much to visiting Cheeca so much and arrived expecting great things. Check-in was disorganised and developed into farce when a promised refund on a room rate charge was not honoured. Dinner in the Atlantic Restaurant was disappointing with cold food served by disinterested staff....but still at a premium price. The staff generally appeared a pretty... More

We just got back from a week at Cheeca Lodge and only wished that we had more time. This hotel is in a class all its own, from the moment you arrive you are greeted with smiles and a glass of champagne. The hotel is beautiful with a style that sets it apart from all others in the Keyes, rich... More

We booked Cheeca Lodge for 3 nights, but liked it so much we extended our stay to 5 nights. The suite in the main hotel building was truly magnificent, with a very large room and balcony and a suite of furniture that was really comfortable. The room was more like a small flat than a hotel room.. We chose a... More

My wife and I spent our 5th anniversary at this resort. What I liked most about it was that we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves. There was no loud music and no craziness if you know what I mean. You could sit in the Tiki Bar and hear each other talk. The different restaurants were very pleasant with... More

This was a fantastic place to stay. Earl at the front gate was so welcoming telling us we were in for a "treat". He was right. Racheal at the tiki bar can make the best cocktails every time and she keeps the atmosphere fun and relaxing. What a beautiful view every where you look. So much fun. I'm ready to... More

5 star review based upon our hopes for a great visit! Heading to the Cheecalodge later this week for our 20th anniversary and cannot wait! For years we've driven past this legend on our way to KW but have never stopped so looking forward to a slower paced Keys experience this time around. Will post a full review after our... More

Great resort hotel on the paradise island of Islamorada. This is a great place for families but also couples. The fishing pier is great fun and the water sports facilities are great. There is even a small golf course.

Loved the bungalow layout and the tropical landscaping with hidden grottos and paths thru the foliage! Well-appointed room, quiet at night, good food on an ocean-facing terrace. Saw bio-luminescent jellies swimming under the pier. Sunrise was breath-taking! We biked in from Key Largo, but the staff didn't bat an eye at our biker gear and needs.

Earl at the gate deserves a raise - he is an outstanding ambassador for Cheeca Lodge! The lobster grilled cheese was to die for, and the champagne welcome a nice touch. On the down side, the $40 resort fee seems unnecessary when you are spending $400-plus for a room. Most of the activities are fee based (like $10 for yoga)... More
