We booked the 2 room suite. It had one bathroom that was connected to the far bedroom but the room was clean and affordable. We were able to get a coffee pot and brought our coffee. We weren't bothered by noise and check in was easy and staff was pleasant. They held our luggage after check out until we left... More

This motel is right out of the 40's. Vintage bathroom light fixtures, tile and soap holders. The bathroom was so small, one person can barely fit. Good luck trying to bend over! My husband and I didn't want to walk on the floor bare footed so wore our socks. In all fairness, our socks were still clean after our stay... More

El patio is an old hotel that has been kept up very well, but not updated. It's clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The mattresses could be replaced. We had coffee in the morning on the rooftop deck which was very nice. They have coffee makers upon request but you have to bring your own coffee. I... More

I searched on the web, for the cheapest hotel in Key West, El Patio was the result of that search. It truly is, in all respects the cheapest hotel in Key West. The Office/Front Desk is closed from 8:00 P.M. to 8:00 A.M., any problems encountered (loud disturbances) encountered during this period must be reported to 911. The nearest coffee... More

Pros; its a great location (close to best beach and quiet end of Duval St.) and the people in the reception is kind as well as a relaxed atmosphere. Cons. its pricey compared to what you get, which is a large room (we had the apartment), which is not clean and with stench of moist and in serious need of... More

Old Town Key West is a step outside the modern, hectic world we live in and into a funky and eclectic world of 24/7 summer in the tropics. The island has plenty of old world charm to support this experience. El Patio is right where it should be and everything it needs to be for the traveller who wants to... More

We stayed at the motel for the third time. It's very basic accomadation but it's cheap and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It's a great location, about a 5 minute walk from southernmost point, southernmost beach and east Duvall street. It's about a 15/20 minute walk to the other end of Duvall street (where Mallory square and... More

We spent a week here and thought we'd gone back to the 60s! We liked the floral lino floor, tired wicker, and wispy towels, they contributed to the non-pretentious ambience. Fabulous location, close enough to Duval Street, but not that close that drunken revellers kept one up at night. Helpful staff made the minor irritations, like the maid service not... More

Decent place, off the beaten path, rooms clean and comfortable. A little dated, and shows its age, rooms typical 60's style, just the necessities. We didn't go to Key West to sit in a room and watch TV, we went to spend time in town, so this is perfect. Prices very reasonable considering it is Key West. Would stay again... More

Where do I start. First of all I had to find a place to stay in Key West with old sister and husband. Reviews were mostly favorable and I had a budget of less than $200 a night in winter. Not an easy task. The onlu way I could meet their budget was a 2 BR "suite". The "suite" was... More
