Mixed feelings 1) about Key West. 2) about Duval Gardens First, Key West. Faint echos of Hemmingway's Key West are drowned out by the noise, crowds and congestion. This is a "party hearty" destination...the soul is lost except in the Custom House Museum. Second, Duval Gardens. PROS: Friendly, helpful staff, perfect location (a bit noisy but park your car and... Thank you so much for your recent stay with us. I am happy you enjoyed our excellent location, great staff, breakfast on the porch and clean rooms with good beds. Thank you for mentioning them all in your reviews. I am sorry you had mixed reviews. It seems mainly because of Key West in General and the price. You did... More

second time staying here...couldn't wait to come back...stayed 9 days in feb/march...pulled the car into the parking lot (limited spots), and left it....right on duval st, so you can watch some of the activity day or night, fairly quiet, but you do have the neighborhood roosters for a wake up call.. Christina and patricia are very helpful and easy to... More

Thank you. We love it when our guests come back to visit again. We all have that love hate relations ship with our island roosters. They are probably the most photographed thing on the island, and some are quite handsome, but they can seem noisy if your not used to them. More

Though a little overpriced during spring break/fat tues week, we enjoyed our stay at Duval Gardens B&B. Very nice host/property manager Christina who was especially sweet and hospitable. Great location just a few blocks from the beach and the southernmost point, as well as the KW lighthouse, Hemingway house and close proximity to bars/food and shopping. Nice small pool. Breakfast... Thank you for your recent stay with us. Christina goes out of her way to try to ensure everyone has a great stay and will appreciate your mention. Rooms in Key west especially in the historic buildings do tend to be on the smaller side so the king room was a good choice. We agree our location is excellent, and... More

This is a great small bed and breakfast hotel located on the quiet end of Duval street. The rooms are quite small but clean and cozy. It's near all the action of Duval street and marina but far enough away that the sleep quality isn't affected. The staff is extremely helpful and the whole atmosphere of the hotel is as... More

Thank you so much for reviewing your recent stay with us. I am happy you enjoyed your stay and thanks again for mentioning the staff. I am sorry you found the A/C a little loud and we will certainly look into it. The smaller window units we have to use because of space constraints do tend to be a little... More

Great location if you want to be downtown. Lovely sitting on the front porch with a decent continental breakfast. The pool was also quite nice. Excellent bathroom facilities however room was very small creating some difficulties in where to put your luggage and hang your clothes. Also no place to sit and relax in the room - the bed pretty... We were booked into this delightful house for just the one night but wished we had planned to stay longer. Our welcome was warm and open and as we had left Miami well before dawn we arrived while breakfast was being served which we were invited to join. Our room was delightful, clean and pretty with everything we needed. We... More

We spent a week in Key West and stayed at Duval Gardens. A very nice, quiet and clean B&B. The room was a bit small, but the bath was a good size and since we spent most waking moments outside (the sun and warmth felt soooo good, after escaping frigid CT!), it was not a problem. The convenience of being... More

Stayed here for a night in Jan 2013. It was clean and had a very welcoming atmosphere. Loved the room!! It was small (which was expected), but clean and modern. I love the bed!! So pretty and romantic! The pool was outside our room.... the pool was small but clean and fun to have it right outside the room! Ideally... More

We went to Duvall Gardens for a brief stay of one night. While our room was fine for a short stay we would have upgraded our room for a longer stay. We were welcomed by Christina who was charming and helpful. Our room was on the small side but we were delighted with the location. Close to Hemingway house and... More

We checked out this morning after spending four nights in room #24 near the back of the B&B. While a previous reviewer indicated that the space didn't have a place for luggage, there is actually a luggage stand, an open closet area with extra hooks, and two large nightstands with two drawers. This was plenty of room for us to... More
