I love Papa's Hideaway. It's secluded and quiet by the pool with lush gardens yet two blocks from Duval Street action. Best pool I have ever been in. Loved watching the stars at night while floating in the pool. The rooms have old Key West charm with the luxury of modern amenities. Excellent location near two great snorkeling beaches. Renting... My brother and I recently stayed for 2 nights in the new renovated rooms and we had a great time. What a fantastic location. Just a few minutes walk to Duval street. Parking here is no problem at all which is rare in Key West. New owner has really put alot of money and effort into this resort and it... More

For $225.00 night, I was disappointed to find bugs in my bed/room (termite larva?), ants on the kitchen counter, top of the cabinets were filthy, ceiling is coming down by the bathroom, smelled really musty and not very nice (old carpets), shower was not cleaned (hair still in it and not mine), toilet is not attached to the floor properly... Since this was our 12th visit to this property, we too were concerned about the change of ownership when we arrived this year since we had stayed here 11 previous visits to Key West. Since there is no one on site we had to pick our key up at the office which is kind of a pain but not too... More

My wife and I booked a room for 3 days in April at Papa's Hideaway, mostly based on our very positive experiences 10+ years ago when Papa's Hideaway was owned and run by Pat and Ellen. Unfortunately, I then contracted pneumonia and had to cancel 5 days before our expected arrival. When I called, I was informed that no refund... More

My wife and I were initially disappointed that Papa's was sold and that the owners were no longer on site. It was one on the things we really liked about the B&B experience. We also missed the morning breakfast by the pool. It was a chance to meet with other guests and chat about the day's activities. On the plus... More

This is a no frills property that was exactly what we were looking for. Not to close to Duval but a very quick walk to great food, nightlife and activities. The rental company is great to work with and offered transportation to the property and back to the airport.

I unexpectedly ended up here with my girlfriend on an impromptu trip. This was a great place to relax and recharge for a few days. If you're looking for a typical hotel experience, this is not the place. If you want to feel like you're staying at a friends beautiful vacation home, this is the place! It's just a few... More

After reading the reviews for Papa's Hideaway, and having stayed in many different bed and breakfast, we had high expectations for our three night stay. We had booked several months in advance of our stay and had early on corresponded with the owner on a couple of occasions. Sometime after we booked, the owner sold out and the property was... More

Recently I had the pleasure of spending fourteen days at the lovely, private, gated, quiet Papa's Hideaway. I never expected anything so relaxing close to everything. While renovations were going on to renew the grounds and buildings, the workers finished everything quickly, efficiently and obtrusivelessly. The housekeeping staff were pleasant and pleasing. I would like to be able to return... More
