My husband and I have been going to Key West for several years and had never stayed at the Mermaid and the Alligator before. We decided to give it a try for 3 nights and are very glad we did! The place was beautiful and Dean, Paul, Geri and Rebecca made us feel as if we were in our own... More

Enjoyed 3 nights at this wonderful B & B that is truly a gem - lovely and tranquil in the heart of Key West. Parked the car and walked everywhere. Dean, Paul, and Geri take meticulous care of their guests. Breakfasts were delicious as was the conversation with other guests staying there. We stayed in the Garden Room, which was... More

We just returned from another amazing stay at the Mermaid and the Alligator, our last being two years ago. This time we stayed in the Sun Room on the second floor, which has a nice little private porch. It was quiet and comfortable and since we were on the second floor, were able to open the french doors in the... More

It is very hard to enhance the experience of visiting Key West especially when traveling from the cold Northeast and then basking in the warmth of the Keys yet our stay(s) with Dean, Paul and their great staff consistently add to our experiences in this paradise on earth. Having just returned from the second of what we hope will be... More

It was our first time to Key West in 25 years, and staying at the M&A was just perfect. We had the Poinciana Room, on the side street with a large, spacious balcony. Dean and Paul were always around for advice and we were pleased to be there during their Christmas decorating time, and the place looks inviting. In short:... More

My girlfriend and I come to Key West every year for the Christmas parade. Usually we stay at one of the chain hotels at the end of Duvall St but this year we wanted to try something different. This is our first experience at a B&B and we choose wisely. The owners are fantastic at making you feel welcome. It's... More

My wife and I travel to Key West yearly and typically stay close to the "action" near Sunset Pier and Mallory Square...within hours of arrival, we were asking ourselves why it has taken us to long to stay at The Mermaid and The Alligator? Do yourself a favor, STAY HERE! You will NOT be disappointed. It is just far enough... More

My husband and I stayed here last year and spent a good amount of time counting down the days until our return trip! Was it as good as we remembered? Even better! After speaking with friends and new acquaintances in the Keys, we have decided that a better value cannot be found. The comfortable, clean, welcoming surroundings; the staff who... More

We have visited Key West for the last 20 years. We have stayed at hotels, B & Bs and rented houses for extended periods of time. This is the best accommodations in Key West. It is one of the best on the world, but since you are reading this I assume you are only interested in how it rates in... More

Very nice bed and breakfast Inn, just what my wife and I had hoped for. Good location, about two blocks from Duval Street. The owners kept to themselves but were always ready to provide information regarding restaurants and the Kew West area.
