The location on Duval St. was ok. Parking was non-existent but I was able to score street parking. The staff was personable. The pool was well maintained. Here's the rest: the property could use some serious repair/upgrades. The door to the room had such a large gap at the bottom as to allow a rather large gecko to come and... More

SUMMARY For those of you that only read the first few lines of these reviews, please know that the Wicker Guesthouse is a dirty, unclean, shabby place to stay. Many of the reviews have stated this, and NONE of the reviews were incorrect or over-stating this fact. There are so many other nice places to stay, with better locations. And... More

First, the crazy check-in! The Wicker Guesthouse location also serves as the check-in spot for other lodging. Our reserved room at An Island Oasis was not ready, there was strictly no place to park, and there was chaos when we arrived for check-in. I was told to just drive around until I could find a spot to park on the... More

Me and my family came here and thought it was great. The restaurant next door was very good. It was very crowded though so make a reservation. The rooms were very clean. Breakfast was just like any other place. But very nice place, and everyone was nice and helpful for us. I would come back here if I go back... More

Nice and charming, but a bit run downed, guesthouse. Great location on the quieter part of Duval Street, but still close to restaurants, shops and the small beach in the south end of Duval. Ok continental breakfast, but not more.

Hi Erik, Thank you for taking the time to leave your review from your recent visit with us. Thank you for mentioning the property's charm and overall feel. I'm sorry you felt it was rundown, but I did want to mention that we've been gradually working on improvements and upgrades - as all historic properties need from time to time... More

Our cottage was filthy. When we walked in the floor was so sticky that shoes stuck to floor. Even after they cleaned, one pass barefoot and your feet were black on bottom. Some of the lights did not work. Maids did not make up the room every day. Room was old and worn out. Would never ever stay there again.

We booked the accommodation through their website. While we were aware that the apartment was small we were unaware, until we arrived to check in, that it was not suitable for four adults, a fact that the man at reception found really amusing. The free public parking is none existent although its a feature of the website as was the... More

Booked 4 days at Wicker Guesthouse but only stayed 1. The air conditioner was so loud, we couldn't sleep. When the problem was brought to the managements attention, they tried to remedy the situation but ran into multiple problems replacing the A/C. (The second AC was also loud, the third AC didn't fit). The sheets were pilling, the towels were... More

Overpriced and the kitchen area in our room needs ripping out and replacing. The small tiled work surface was a breeding ground for bacteria with ground in dirt which had to be attacked with cleaner prior to any food preperation. The wiring for the TV was a mess, broken floor tiles in the bathroom and we had to hang up... More

Hi AM073, I'm so sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay. While I understand this will not help your situation specifically, we wanted to share that the rooms have been under a gradual renovation...as with any historic property, continual improvements are a necessity, and we are working hard to use this feedback to make future guests more...
